Good, functional hotel -- was starting and ending point for my Galapagos cruise. Rooms were spacious, everything was quite modern and up to standard. The breakfast spread was fantastic - buffet with a good variety. Location was also great, with lots of shops and a big artisan market nearby. Would recommend.

I booked through Expedia in combo with my airfare and got an excellent package rate for this attractive, modern hotel. I was delighted with the room - a spacious separate living/dining room area, desk, and full king bedroom plus nice bathroom. Good wifi, good TV but surprising that there include no English language news channel in an otherwise extensive list...

We were part of a tour group with this hotel being chosen by the tour company. We spent two nights in this hotel for a one day visit to Quito before heading off to the Galapagos Islands. Our room was a junior suite with a large second room for relaxing, away from the bedroom. I would say it was a...

Beds are nice. Rooms are cool. Some heaters available. Ask for a room away from the street to avoid street noise. Excellent breakfast. Not many attractions close by. Beautiful fountain in the lobby. You're allowed to flush the commodes in this hotel.

When we arrived at the hotel we were advised by hotel staff that it was not safe to walk between the hotel and the main restaurant area a couple of blocks away after dark and that at night we should use registered local taxis for this short distance. This was disappointing to find out when we arrived as I had...

Loved staying here. Staff were friendly and helpful. We landed really early and arrived at 9:30AM, and never expected a room to be ready. Not only did we get into our room, but the check-in staff offered to show us two different rooms when I expressed concern about street noise. The interior room was a bit dated, and since I...

I was pleasantly surprised how nice this hotel was. The lobby is impressive, the staff were amazing! They were friendly, welcoming, attentitive, caring and so helpful. They all looked nice in their uniforms, presented very well as a first impression of this hotel. I can't get over how helpful they were every step of the way! Once in my room...

I travel to Quito several times in a year, definitely a worthy option for the City. - Extremely cordial front desk personnel, - Efficient room-service - Very well furnitured and spacy rooms - Very clean daily action - Good pricing. Overall, Mercure hotel Alameda is a great hotel in Quito for a couple of nights. Staff were more than accommodating and facilities were adequate. However, gym was very very small. Checked in at 9:30 in the evening and left at 8:00 the next morning. First room they took me to had 2 beds. I asked if I could have a room with one bigger bed. They upgraded me to a junior suite at no extra charge. Enjoyed a nice meal in the dining room that is open until 11pm.
