Super location, easy access, in the heart of the Historic and Colonial Center, walking distance (5 minutes) to many main attractions. The hotel is located in “La Ronda” street; a narrow, lively pedestrian street full of character with many restaurants, bars and folk stores making it a unique neighborhood that is a ‘must do’ on your visit list. La Casona de la Ronda is a delightful, authentic Spanish Colonial style boutique hotel with a gentle, calming feel built in an old 1738 Mansion. The rooms are attractively decorated beyond your expectations featuring hand carved furniture by local master craftsmen, polished fine wood flooring, spacious and comfortable with a deluge shower in the bathroom. Even though it is an old “La Casona” we offer modern services: • WiFi at no charge • Reception 24 hours, tour bookings available • Full service restaurant; buffet breakfast, a la carte lunch and dinner, room service available • Transportation to/from the airport upon request.

This hotel seamlessly blends the history of Quito with modern conveniences. Located in an historic building on a walking street, the rooms are well-appointed, yet maintain that spanish-colonial style. Good AC, comfortable beds, and wonderful showers. So many extra touches that help you feel welcome and comfortable. Walking distance to historical churches. Good breakfast. Friendly, service-oriented staff. Covid-conscious. Be aware there are stairs and no elevator and the entrance is off of a walking street with cobbled stones. Would definitely stay here again if I had the opportunity.

Dear Beamr, Thank you very much for your kind review. As you mention we are a colonial house that dates from 1738 in the traditional street of La Ronda in Quito´s old town. We are always giving maintenance to our rooms in order for them to be impeccable and with all the necessary equipment to make your stay the most comfortable. And as you mentioned the best asset that we have is our human talent that is always giving their best to provide great service to our guests. Thank you very much once again and we hope we can welcome you back in the future. Best regards, Aaron B.

We had a wonderful stay at La Casona de la Ronda. We stayed there for three nights after going to the Galapagos islands. They were so welcoming and helpful. Our room was large and lovely with windows looking out onto the cobblestone streets the bathroom was also quite spacious. They have a nice lounge/ sitting area with complementary tea and coffee all day. They were so helpful and made several dinner reservations for us as well as giving us detailed directions and advice. We also had dinner there one night and it was delicious. Breakfast was included in our reservation and it was lovely, made to order omelets, fruit and delicious bread. Our flight leaving Quito was quite early in the morning (5:30am) and the kitchen was not open yet but they were so thoughtful and made us a bagged breakfast for us to take on the plane. The desk clerk also made a fresh pot of coffee for me so that I could have coffee on our way out the door. Lovely stay would highly recommend!

We travelled to Ecuador in May of 2021, right at the time when the Government passed sweeping curfews and travel restrictions. These new curfews were enacted mere days before our trip, and almost ruined the whole thing. HOWEVER, the staff at Casona De La Ronda was fantastic! They were very helpful when we had to change up our plans to stay fewer days (because the curfew forced us to spend more time outside of Quito that originally planned). They were also incredibly helpful by keeping us up to date on the ever changing curfew situation on the ground in Ecuador. We literally drove into the city during the curfew hours, and the staff waited around for us, helped us check in, showed us to the room, kept the kitchen open for us into the evening, and were incredibly attentive the whole time. Beyond that, the property is amazing. The Old Colonial main building is gorgeous. We stayed in one of the newer apartments which had an incredible view of the city. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable. The location is also perfection...right in the heart of the old city...mere steps from the plazas. The food at the restaurant was also delicious. All around, I highly recommend staying at this hotel in Quito. They are first class and worked hard to ensure my friends and I had an awesome, Pandemic-era, stay in Quito. During a time when so many travel-related businesses are suffering, the crew at Casona de La Ronta worked their BUTTS OFF to ensure my friends and I felt welcome safe, and cared for. Next time I come to Ecuador, I will 100% stay at this hotel again.

I cannot recommend La Casona de la Ronda enough. They made me feel at home and took great care of me during my recent visit to Quito (on my way to Galapagos). The manager and staff were attentive, followed strict Covid safety protocols and went above and beyond the call of duty to make my stay very memorable.

Enjoyed a warm, welcoming stay at this lovely boutique hotel in old Town Quito. The room was well appointed, comfortable, roomy and very quiet at night. The precautions taken at these lodgings during the pandemic put our minds at ease. The staff went over and above to ensure we were able to experience the activities we had hoped to during our all too brief stay. They arranged for us to have a driver for a full day who accompanied us to the various attractions and even took us on a hunt for local honey! Our last evening, we had a beautifully prepared meal of local specialties served by attentive staff. I do hope to be able to return one day. Recommended very highly!
