Hostal Revolution was a perfect place for our family stay in Quito. It is safe, very clean, in a great location for exploring the city and the owner Sandra is very engaged and helpful. You can easily walk to the historic district, to the Mariscal, and to multiple parks and restaurants. The rates are very reasonable, $11/person for the triple.... More

I stayed at Hostel Revolution for a while and it was an excellent place to stay in Quito. The property is well kept and exceptionally clean, the beds are super comfortable, the kitchen is amazingly well equipped and there are plenty of showers and toilets, so you never have to wait. There's also a TV room with hundreds of movies... More

I really liked this hostel. It has a great cosy feel to it. The TV room has hundreds of films to watch, the kitchen is better than mine at home and the bathrooms are plenty and always clean. I also really liked the roof terrace with a happy hour beer. Beautiful view!

I stayed in a dorm for about 5 days and the hostel is as advertised - clean, good kitchen, has hot water and roof access. In quito I also stayed in Community hostel and huasi lodge. I would say revolution was much better than community (was cleaner, quieter and had better facilities) and similar to huasi lodge with ambiance but... More

Revolution is not a party hostel. If you're looking for a party hostel, La Mariscal area is better for you. But if you're looking for a hostel with a great community vibe, good clean dorms, a happy hour for a few drinks and a common area, in a great location (close to Old Town, close to the bus heading up... Most comfortable beds I have ever seen in a hostel, fast internet (I was even able to stream sports), cool rooftop terrace where you can enjoy playing the guitar they have there. Most importantly: Sandra, the owner, is really friendly, but also up for a heated discussion if you prefer that :).

I ended up staying at this hostel on 3 separate occasions and was very sad to leave when I did finally move on. It's by far the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in, especially the kitchen, which although I can't cook to save my life, was very well equipped and organised. The beds are super comfy and make you feel... More

This was the best hostel I've ever stayed at. Always clean, plenty of hot water, comfortable beds, great wifi. The owner is awesome, super helpful and friendly, knows a lot about things to do (and not to do). Great location, right near Parque La Alameda, a nice place to hang out and relax before checking out the Old Town. Highly... More

From the outset, being greeted by name when the door was answered, this place was friendly and social. Which is not always the case when you are 40 somethings. We stayed 2 nights in a private room, and loved the well equipped kitchen, social happy hour and cleanliness. One of the best places, we stayed in South America. Recommended.

I stayed here for 3 nights - one in a shared dorm and two in a private room. This is the cleanest hostel I have ever stayed in and the owner, Sandra, is extremely helpful and knowledeable. The showers have hot water, the wifi works well, the kitchen is large and well-stocked, the beds are comfy and nights are quiet... More
