The staff was very friendly. Great breakfast. Clean room. Excellent location. Beautiful historic building. Comfortable shower and bed. I would prefer not to be showered in alcohol upon entering the building...I don't believe religiously disinfecting my shoes helps anybody. Also would be great to have access to the building without having to wait, ring the bell, or call someone. Even with those points of improvement, overall was great, just what I wanted, would stay again.

Dear guest, We are so happy to read your nice comments about our services and we appreciate your feedback about the Biosafety Protocols, which are part of the Ecuadorian Authorities Guidelines to be followed. However, the desinfection process is over hands, shoes and luggages and we appologize if we over did it. Thank you much for coming and for mentioning that you would stay again with us. It'll always be our pleasure to host you, your friends and family at home any time in the near future. Kind regards The Ecuatreasures Team

Hotel's Favorite
Those five stars one notes in the previous reviews, they are well earned and well deserved. Upon the start, after selecting this hotel, we were greeted with sincere and warm communications from Hernan, the patriarch of this family owned establishment. Throughout our stay, he was always available to ensure that our needs were taken care of: transportation and tour setup, suggestions on how to experience the Ecuadorian and Quito culture, setting up Covid-19 tests which were needed to return to our country and just plain and simple warm conversation. The day was started with a wonderful breakfast. Each day something different representing a region of the country, was made by onsite manager. Johnny, the onsite manager, always smiled and was there to make that our stay was pleasant. Interacting with him was ever-so fun, his easy going spirit was contagious. We looked forward to seeing him upon returning to the hotel each day, sharing our adventures. We were picked up at the airport by Joel, another easygoing member of the hotel family. From the start, he too was there for us if ever needed. Again, as with Hernan and Johnny, Joel was sincere and very pleasant to converse with. We also took a tour to the Middle of the Earth, local markets and restaurants and the Quito Teleferico. This tour was hosted by Joel, while he was an employee you felt like he was a friend. My wife and I travel when possible, we have visited numerous countries and we have stayed in a wide spectrum of lodging options. This was truly the first time we greeted beyond the usually pleasantries, we felt as if we belonged.

I stayed for five nights as a solo traveller and I was very well-cared-for by the hotel staff. Hernán was an excellent host and checked with me regularly to make certain that everything was going well. Joel welcomed me the first morning and helped to orient me and offered possible tours. He also gave me excellent advice about restaurants and helped make a reservation for me at the wonderful restaurant Zazu. I took one of Joel’s tours, which was great, and Joel taught me a lot about Ecuadorian history and culture and cuisine. He treated me like a friend. Blanca looked after me every day and made sure that I had what I needed. It was nice to see her cheerful face welcoming me back “home” every evening. The breakfast was varied and included Ecuadorian specialities which I always enjoyed. The hotel has implemented measures for corona virus prevention. The Ecuatreasures team made very efficient use of WhatsApp to communicate and to help me whenever I needed advice or assistance. I enjoyed my stay at the Ecuatreasures Hotel and highly recommend the hotel.

We booked two separate tours with Latin Adventures, and both were so fun! We did a two day tour from Quito to Baños, and they were so fantastic about working with our schedule and communication before the trip. The itinerary was perfect, and we got to see all of the highlights of baños, plus lake quilotoa! We also took a Quito tour with them because we had such a great experience the first time, and it was just as fun! We highly recommend Dante and Alex!

The owner and his concierge took very good care of me. Unfortunately I had an emergency and had to go back to NY after only two nights. They went above and beyond making all the details as smooth as possible, helping me with a faulty phone, allowing me to call from their phones many times, finding a clinic and hours, good restaurants, plane ticket changes. I felt very safe and cared for. The building itself is an amazing antique mansion with 8 bedrooms. The brick and woodwork details are spectacular. And Blanca serves the most delicious breakfasts you can certainly not find in the US! Most of all, I appreciated the attention the owner gave to me. He even made sure I did a wonderful tour of Quito and its surroundings before leaving, even though I only had one day to do it. The Basilico, Teleferico, the Middle of the Earth Museum, the Indigenous museum on the 0 degree latitude line (!), amazing volcanoes where a small village exists in the crater, amazing food and warm-hearted people -- all this I would have missed if not for the kindness and help if the hotel owner. FIVE STARS
