My wife and I spent 3 magical days at Rumiloma. It is exquisite and magical (complete with peacocks and llamas). So high above the hustle and bustle of the city but only a 10 min cab ride to the city center. We had the good...More
I can’t explain the uniqueness of this place! Sitting not more than 30 minutes from downtown Quito on top a strap mountain it is a extraordinary refuge. All of the antiques and art work sort of make you feel like your in a museum.
Hacienda Rumiloma is the perfect getaway! If you are visiting Quito, this is THE place to stay. An absolutely mesmerizing property in the rainforest mountains overlooking the whole Capital City. There are llamas and peacocks strolling around when on the way to one of you...More
This is a beautiful hotel with a soul. Still in Quito but at the same time in a peaceful, mountain area. You can get to the center of Quito in just a few minutes but you feel like you’re in somewhere peaceful and quiet. Interior...More

Just returned from Hacienda Rumiloma. Stayed there 3 nights with family and friends. Beautiful place with fantastic views of Quito but very boring. Can't really walk around the property but can admire the peacocks from our window. Staff does not speak English. Breakfast is included but missable. Dinner menu was delicious but does not warrant the NYC prices! Not recommend for children or anyone not in perfect physical shape. I walk 3-4 miles daily but found it difficult to walk around here due to unkept grounds and height. Might be a good place for honeymooners since it is very isolated with absolutely nothing to do.
