In a nice neighborhood, this exceedingly gracious hostal is an incredible value. My second-floor room, with a full-sized bed, was plenty spacious and featured a nice large window overlooking neighboring rooftops. Everything was very clean, including the bathroom I shared. Good water pressure and hot water. Including tax, the room was $22.40, anc came with a full breakfast--fresh fruit, freshly-squeezed...

I stayed here for two nights in a single room which was spacious. Elena is lovely and the breakfast (fresh fruitjuice, srcambled eggs, toast, butter, jam and coffee/tea) was great. I highly recommend this place! Btw it's in a quite safe part of Quito.

Elena will really look after you. It's a clean, safe place to stay in a nice part of Quito in the new town. Wifi works and breakfast is good with fresh fruit and eggs. One room I stayed in didn't have a window looking onto the street, only into the hostel, which made it quieter, and I didn't mind that....

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful place to stay! Elena is so warm and welcoming you will feel like you are at home. Rooms are spotlessly clean, excellent hot showers, strong wifi throughout, and great breakfast. The neighborhood is very safe, but on top of that there are double locked doors to enter the property. On top of everything, we dropped off some...

I stayed here for five nights after an intensive teaching gig here in Ecuador. I'm glad I did. My single room was spacious and included a view of one of the volcanoes and of the Floresta District. Rooms also come with breakfast - a choice of eggs, bread, and/or fruit. I enjoyed an endless supply of chamomile/manzanilla and fruit teas....

The hostal is in a secure neighborhood, with good wifi, not noisy, chillout area and free drinking water. The owner Elena is the kindest woman on earth. She helps out patiently with all you can possibly need, and always has time for a chat. She doesnt speak english but her spanish is slow and vey understandable for a new beginner...

I have stayed here for the past six nights and really enjoyed it. Room is large and comfortable, on the top floor. Bathroom small but adequate. Water runs lukewarm rather than hot but is fine. Noise travels in the building as does the inssent noise of car alarms on the surrounding street. Breakfast was fine but was the same every...

This hostel was one of the nicest that my wife and I stayed at in Ecuador. The bed was very comfortable, Elena (the owner) is about as sweet and helpful as people get, good breakfast, very clean, relatively quiet neighborhood with lots of eating options, and the bathroom had both hot water and good water pressure! I would not think...

After turning up at the hostel a day late thanks to plane cancellations, bagless, thanks to inept airlines, and realising I'd left my phone in the taxi on the way from the airport to Aleida's I was ready to cry when I arrived. Instead I was greeted by a woman who I'd never met before who gave me a hug...

I really enjoyed my stay here. Elena, the owner, is warm and caring. The location is good - close to restaurants and La Mariscol. Old town is easily reachable by bus, trolley, or taxi. I ended up staying for over 3 weeks.
