My stay with Elena has been one of the best I've ever had in South America! I'm not one to leave reviews because everything is usually average, but Aleida's Hostal is the best I've ever seen. First of all, you're served free breakfast and it's in a very timely manner. You have free use of all of the appliances, and... More

My stay here was amazing... Elena the owner is very friendly, kind and helpful. She made our time there very welcoming and comfortable. Breakfast every morning was delicious and the rooms and the Hostal in general was very clean. Aleida's Hostal is easily the best Hostal I have ever stayed at and I would recommend staying here to everyone.

Ilana and Allen remembered receive a cordial greeting and my thanks for so valuable comment. Glad to know that you felt comfortable in Aleidas Hostal, because for me it was also an honor having met, made them less, if in the future decide to return to Ecuador remember that this is your home, I will receive them with open arms.... This is the second time we've stayed at Aleida's. It's a very nice area and it's only getting better. There are a lot of great restaurants and it's safe. The rooms are cheap comparatively, but prices are rising due to the gentrification of the area.

Dear Demon: I hope to have arrived safely. Thank you very much for your kind comment, indeed the area is nice, quiet, close to all the services you the turistan need, but prices especially the restaurants are expensive, I aspire in the coming months provide food service to a competitive price. I will keep my accommodation prices because I want... More

I liked it here. Met some cool people. And its laid back. The outside courtyard is nice and we had a spacious room at the top. Both ladies (Alena and Gloria) were always so helpful and friendly. Breakfast always tasty. Downside is the noise. My goodness. The 2 young girls that live there make a lot of noise in the... More

I arrived to Aleida's Hostal and I felt like I was extended family. I was greeted with open arms and all of the guest there were welcoming. If your looking for a high end place that feels like a luxury hotel, than this is not your place. However, I could assure you that this hostal has all the basics needed... More

Aleida's hostal has a great location, close to la Mariscal, surrounded by great restaurants. The rooms are nice and clean and the breakfast great! But most of all, Elena, who runs the place, is the warmest and most helpful person you'll meet. She makes you feel right at home and takes amazing care of you. We will most definitely go... More

Quito was the first stop on our backpacking trip throuth S.A. We booked 3 nights at the hostel from home after reading great things in Lonely Planet, and we are soo glad we did! Elena (the owner and your new best friend) stayed awake til midnight (when we flew in) to greet us at the door. The environment is very... More

It is the first place my boyfriend and i stayed for 2 nights arriving in Quito and we came back at the end of our trip for 3 nights. We couldn't have picked a better place to start our journey. Elena welcomed us as if we were family and that was warm and reassuring. The breakfast tasted very good. Elena... More

Elana, the owner, is definitely the main reason this Hostel gets such good ratings. She is a warm and wonderful person and works very hard to make sure your stay is comfortable. That said, I found our room (number 13) to be very average. It was small, the bathroom was so cramped that the toilet was almost directly under the... More
