Actually we found this to be a great value hostel to stay at. Situated nearby to everything and on a super cool street full of amazing street art. We stayed in the 10 bed dorms and this place is one of the cheapest in Valparaiso I'd say! Dorm was spacious, really warm to cosy up in the sheets at night.... More

I have just great things to say about this hostel. Me and 3 friends went to Valpo from Santiago and took a cab from the bus station. Don't remember the price, but it was quite cheap. It is located in the Cerro Alegro, up hill, close to the main touristic places of the city. We were welcomed by a big... More

Pata Pata is a pleasant place to stay: clean, cheerful, safe, people friendly and accommodating. A little rough around the edges, very few of the doors (bathrooms/closets/etc) seem to work very well. Only complaint: The "breakfast" provided is extremely scant and generally served late.

Absolutely nothing bad to say about this hostel, from the tidyness to the comfort of the beds, to the friendliness of the staff, all was top notch! We came back often past 3 in the morning and there was always someone to open the doors at that hour. Nice morning cuisine too, the breakfasts were delicious. Finally, the decoration is... More

This adress was a good one in terms of friendly welcoming and good location in Alegro cerro. The hostel need a bit of cleanup in the common aeras and there is a family living under this roof. Baby and small children are thus in the common aeras, strange thing. Confortable beds. This is a small and modest place. Free Wi-fi.... More

While staying in lovely cerro allegro I needed to find a place nearby for a friend to stay for one night only. I walked around the neighborhood and saw patapata hostel. Went inside and it was completely empty with lots and lots of beds free. I asked to make a reservation for my friend and the only way to do... More

Been here twice, the first time a few years back when it was Patiperro Hostel, and again last year. Very well run with great WIFI, clean, fun hostel, in a good location in Valparaiso up the hill. The staff make you very welcome and the breakfast is excellent.

Really nice hostel, cozy. Dorm bunkbeds a little flimsy and bathrooms limited. However, the staff are so so helpful and friendly - when I had a problem they did everything they could to help. Good location, nice breakfast, really pretty courtyard and social area and decent kitchen. On a pedestrian street with some really cool street art, so quiet at... More

We staied there with my boyfriend for few nights and had the best time. Hostel is owend by chilean family with three little boys witch makes really fun atmosphere there. Nice common area and patio to chill and make friends with other travellers, big kitchen and the best breakfast I've seen in the hostels so far.

A really nice hostel run by a kind, friendly family. I stayed for much longer than I originally planned because I had such a nice time at PataPata. The staff are very friendly and willing to help, and the facilities are good as well. Overall, the atmosphere is lively, without being over the top. This made for a really enjoyable... More
