The rooms are spacious and modern and the staff was very helpful. Breakfast had a great variety and was very tasty. The neighborhood is hopping. Many great restaurants and we felt safe. Beautiful park and town center is nearby.

There are a lot of things to like about this charming hotel. The location is excellent, close to the shops and restaurants and street market of Lastarria. The historic center is walkable, as is the Bella Vista neighborhood, and San Cristobal Hill. But it is not perfect. We were unable to check in early, but were told an upgraded room was available at an extra $50 a night. We declined that option. Once checked in, we found our room was spacious and well appointed for the price, not sure what an "upgrade" would have entailed. The bed was large and very comfortable, it seemed even bigger than a US king. Water pressure in the shower was good, and the amenities were nice. Towels were plush and plentiful. There were plenty of outlets, a minibar and a good tv. Housekeeping was excellent. The hotel includes a nice free breakfast, although we went out the first day as we were not informed about the breakfast at check-in. There is an omelet station, and I recommend opting for that over the scrambled eggs. Most days sautéed vegetables were offered in lieu of fried potatoes - the latter making an appearance once during our stay. I would recommend trying the coffee machine, as the jug coffee served by the staff was not very good. The usual cold breakfast meats and pastries were available, as well as fruits and juices, etc. The small pool is accessed from a stairway near the breakfast area - but we did not use it. Interactions with the staff were generally good. My complaint is with the air conditioning, which was not able to cool the room below about 25.5C (about 78 degrees Fahrenheit). Although the days were hot, nights cooled down and our room was warmer than the outside air on some of the nights. I mentioned this to the staff and it was not fixed. We stayed one night in an airport hotel, and its AC was much better. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but better a/c would have been appreciated.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel while in Santiago. What I loved most about this hotel was the location. You can’t beat a hotel that is located near public transit and in the heart of a lively restaurant/eatery neighborhood. The arquitecture of the hotel is mixed with a colonial and modern vibe. There were plenty of multiple purposed spaces if you are on a work vacation or just need to relax. The room I stayed in was a single. The room had a comfortable bed, waterfall shower with a separate enclosed toilet. My stay was solo, so this worked great for me, but it might be difficult if you aren’t traveling as a couple or single. I could tell that the hotel has been in use for while, given the wear and tear of the some a few items in the room and on the precises. This is to be expected with a hotel with a lot of traffic. All in all the hotel met my needs and I was very happy with my decision in booking it.

We really enjoyed our 2 nights stay at the Cumbres Lastarria. Easy check in and although our room wasn't quite ready when we arrived, we had a seat in the coffee area. Really nice reception staff with a special shout out to Rene - always so helpful! Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The hotel dining area and breakfast room were great - with fab views over the city. IMO the location in Santiago can't be beaten for local restaurants and bars. The hotel is surrounded by them which was great. I had heard reports of Santiago being very unsafe for tourists - I never felt any concern while I was there - just be sensible and don't flaunt any expensive watches or jewellery. In summary a great hotel and one I would definitely recommend to anyone going to Santiago.

Highly recommend. This is a lovely 4 star hotel in a great location. Surrounded by lots of great restaurants and cafes, it’s a short walk to the historic centre and Bellavista areas. The breakfast was delicious and substantial. Outdoor rooftop pool. And gym. We’ll definitely go back the next time we are in Santiago.

We went with our adult son, so wee in a room with a large double bed and a large single, about 27m2, so a good-sized room, very nicely decorated. We had a room facing the back, hence very quiet. The beds were comfortable. The hotel has its underground parking. Hotel is located in a very lively neighbourhood, with lots and lots of restaurants and young people. Friendly front office staff and a quick efficient registration.

This hotel is located in Lastarria. It is close to San Lucia hill and has a lively street scene in the late afternoon and early evening with locals selling clothes, jewellery, books, and tee-shirts. There are several restaurants near the hotel as well as in the hotel. The rooms are quite large and clean and a complimentary breakfast was included. They arranged a taxi to the hotel on our departure. I highly recommend staying in this hotel.

There has been recent student unrest in Santiago and we were warned to stay away from the Plaza de Armas and Central Market area. This hotel is in Lastarria which with neighboring Bellavista seemed safer and was bustling with restaurants and nightlife. Our room was modern and large with upmarket dispenser toiletries (good idea - less plastic and waste). The included breakfast taken in the breakfast room on the 6th floor was very good. This room was spacious with good city views and a range of food that was ample without being excessive and of good quality. One chap at reception we needed help from twice - once when i had left something behind at a shop and he rang and spoke to them (in Spanish) to see if it was still there - it was and we returned to get it - and once when i was feeling unwell and needed a pharmacy. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he solved our dilemma both times efficiently and with good grace - we really appreciated his help as we cannot speak Spanish and we found English was not widely spoken (which surprised us).

The Cumbres has always a perfect location in town and thejunior are qutt, large. We are not fan of the "open space bathroom/room but...it is the modern style of a lot of hotel(we preferr a bathroom really seprated and more a WC with a real door... Service efficient But : - at this price only 2 bootles at arrival...(at Antumalal in Pucon bottle of water every day) and 4 coffee capsules and the you havr to pay...Perhaps at this price, a capsule/day/gyest should be the norm ?? - sad atmosphre : the patio is nice but no more drink service...ansd the same at the bar at the same lvel(we really hope that Cumbres did not think tha the poor refrigerator near the front desk is a real option to have a drink...we are n,ot in a college cafetaria...). - the courtesy lounge is no more accessible every day at every hour... At breakfast only one fruit juice(3 years ago : 2-3), no more salmon... If the offer are down, why the price is not in adequation... So 4 points even it stay a more than acceptable option.
