Good location, friendly staff but noisy and some things not working, like a shower, a bathroom, a toilet. I stayed there twice, my first room was not very clean and nice, the second one was much better. Good for party

Cool painted look from the outside, outdoor hangout space, good security. There seems to be a few houses on the property, we were in a dark creeky back house, but it had comfy beds. Simple breakfast included, nice staff. Nearby bars and restaurants and also the funicular up to the top of the mountain. People were up late, doesn't seem... More

La Chimba is located very well in Bella Vista and has a good hostel atmosphere but it is quite old and run down and wasn't very clean, shower/bathroom wasn't nice at all and the bed was uncomfortable. The private rooms were really noisy (located right near the main common area). Definitely the place to be if you want to party... More

Thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear you experienced some cleanliness and noise issues during your stay. Our beds are usually praised by our guests. I will check out the mattress you had and see what problem it may have. I do hope you'll come back and give us another try in the future. All the best! More

Excellent hostel with big areas and rooms with individual lockers! Wi-Fi is good and the kitchen is pretty good. Perfect staff and location is excellent, 10-min walking from the subway station (Baquedano), very close to Pio Nono street (excellent night life there) and Patio Bellavista.

Great hostel. The bathrooms are clean, comfortable beds. Atmosphere can be good if you bring some beer and wine to mingle with the travellers. Staffs helped me in many ways. Well located. Close to many clubs and Cerro San Cristobal.

La chimba is an excellent place to stay. The location is 1 block from a long street full of bars, clubs, resturants and convinience shops, and about 8 mins walk from a main metro stop: Baquedano, which serves the two main lines. The building is very cool, covered in graffiti, interesting art and posters, it has large outdoor areas packed... More

The location was really good, close to San Cristobal Hill, La Chascona (Pablo Neruda's house) and lots of restaurants and bars. I had booked a bed in a room for 6 but they had overbooked it, so instead they gave me a private room and charged the same price, which for me was good customer service. The staff in general...
