We had not planned to stay an extra night in Santiago, but our flight plan necesitated this. How please we were to be staying at Bidasoa. Firstly, our Covid self isolation was made tolerable by the fabulous attitude of staff (notably Macerena) who made is feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The room service food was was tasty and fresh and the room really comfortable for the 12 hours or so that we were confined. Afterwards we were able to enjoy the restaurant, complementary Champagne bar, where the charming Mauricio presides. A lovely intelligent and friendly person, who added to the enjoyment of our three night stay. The restaurant staff were also professional and friendly and served really good quality food. I would certainly recommend this for a short stay in Santiago without any hesitation. We did try another hotel for lunch in Vitacura on the recommendation of a friend, however it was dismal in comparison to Bidasoa, despite it's 5 star deluxe rating!!! If we are in Satiago again we will definately come back. Thank you all at Bidasoa.

Arrived at midnight and was easily checked in. Although restaurant had closed for evening, front desk was able to get a sandwich delivered to my room...very good customer service! Room and bath is reasonably large. Very comfortable bed and decent linens. Good wifi. Breakfast is free and good and they will make some adjustments to the standard menu. It seems more of a modern hipster place but is in a business kinda area. A very good stay and I will stay here again.

We escaped to the Bidasoa for one night to forget our quarantine worries! Fantastic stay. The hotel is trendy but not pretentious, the staff are warm and welcoming. They went out of their way to make us feel safe and well looked after. Great cocktails, fabulous food. The Beyond Burger is to die for. Comfortable, clean and well-equipped rooms. We will be back!

We had not planned on staying at the Hotel Eco but the situation in Santiago prior to leaving for our trip made staying in the city center not feasible, however this change of plans turned out to be a pleasant surprise . The hotel is about 1/2 hour drive from downtown, but the setting is lovely. It is a quiet area mostly surrounded by homes and mid sized apartments..and lots of trees. You can easily walk to many restaurants in the are , which we did. Breakfast is included and was varied and very good, there was a nice outdoor patio attached to the dining room lush with foliage ....Francisco , one of the managers did a great job. The service at the hotel was top notch and I should mention Pato, Ludwig, and Helida at the front desk. The hotel did a excellent job of keeping plastic out of the premises which I really appreciated, you could easily fill up your glass water bottle that was provided. The only tips I would leave would be to have a box of tissues in the room and to provide a robe as there is a charming outdoor pool area with lounge chairs that just begs for a robe.

We had not planned to stay in this hotel but due to travel restrictions we had to make a detour on our way home and ended up spending two nights here. The hotel is beautifully designed with a lovely outdoor space in a tropical setting. It was very quiet due to the imminent border closures but despite this the staff were welcoming and cheerful throughout our stay which could not have been easy under the circumstances. We ate all our meals at the hotel and everything was fresh and tasty. It was scrupulously clean and could not fault anything about our stay. We would definitely return.

Went to Santiago on Mrch 16, arrived March 17 and had to immediately return. We got to the hotel at 10 am. They gave us a room to use to shower, change and rest. At 4 pm we ate in their restaurant outside on the patio. The food and service were outstanding. We had to go back to the airport at 5:30 to fly back to San Francisco via Miami. Having that break make a huge difference to our trip.

I have come many times to Santiago for the last 20+ years and finally, I found my place. The rooms are immaculate with wood floors and great decoration details. Every morning the staff prepare a unique experience with breakfast. A wide range of food from delicious eggs to "panqueques de dulce the leche". do not miss those! Bidasoa is just a few blocks from the best restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping centers. very easy and expedite to move around the city from there. The atmosphere, service and the fine food at the restaurant make you think twice before going out...

This place delighted us from the minute we walked through the front door. We arrived very late at night but 3 welcoming receptionists greeted us with huge smiles and had us checked-in in no time at all. The bags disappeared to our rooms and we were handed champagnes and beers. What a great start. The hotel is definitely "eco" in their philosophy. There were recycle bins on each floor near the lifts so you could get rid of your glass, plastic and paper. What a great idea. Our room was huge, compared to the last 3 we stayed in, in South America. It was clean, with a lovely big bathroom. The soap and shampoo were all botanical and were lovely to use. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was a treat, especially with the vegan options, which one of us was. This was the only meal we ate here, but it was excellent. Every staff member we encountered were friendly and helpful. The outdoor areas are relaxing and comfortable. The interior decoration, knickknacks, plants, flowers and art collages on the walls are charming and give the hotel a real homely feeling. I wish we were able to stay more than the 1 night we did.

The Bidasoa is a great hotel, the location is great for shopping and central for visiting Clinica Alemana. I stayed in Rio Bidasoa for 2 months whilst accompanying a family member who was in the clinic so it was not a vacation as such. The family that run and own the hotel are lovely fantastic people ,so a very friendly family run hotel. The Bedrooms and beds are super and very clean. The hotel waitress staff are very friendly and always helpful, in particular Luis was fantastic and very helpful and could speak great English. Like in any hotel the first point of contact is the reception and the reception staff in Bidasoa are lovely friendly people, Helida, Catalina, ludwik and in particular Patricio who i have known for years were excellent and very helpful, always asking if they can help or do anything and always smiling and up for a chat. So thank you all for your kindness during my difficult stay in Santiago you all made it so much better.

it is not located near a lot of the attactions -it is in Vidasoa, about 20 minutes in a car from Los Condes and Providencia. Yet it is next to a small Mall with Starbucks, a supermarket, and restaurants. The staff is nice. food is OK and doable. I would definetely reccomend it. And it is ecofriendly!
