Stayed at Hotel y Centro de Eventos Manquehue in the Las Condes neighborhood for almost a week. The hotel is located in a nice spacious area with a large garden and outdoor swimming pool providing nice relaxation after a stroll through the busy Santiago city. Service at the front desk and from the house cleaning staff is warm, hospitable and efficient making one feel at home very soon. The buffet breakfast is excellent. For dinner, the restaurant does not have much choice during weekdays, and the happy hour servings are limited with no mains. WiFi is available but not always functioning, although the hotel staff kept working on it. The hotel is quite near to the Manquehue subway station, so very conveniently located for sightseeing in town! In view of the nice atmosphere, good service and clean facilities we would definitely book this hotel again on a next visit.

Beautiful hotel with beautiful gardens and small swimming pool. Great environment to relax in, within close proximity to Manquehue metro station. Professional and friendly staff too. It was like landing in an oasis after a long trip.

The restaurant is very small, and if you arrive late you don't find anythink to eat.Sometimes the TV don't work perfectly and we don't have any Chanels in english and French or arabic. The transport with taxi when you call it is too late.

The hotel has a good location and lovely gardens but the service was really poor service. We had no hot water all morning and we received no solutions nor compensation from the administration. The bathroom was uncomfortable and in poor conditions.

So there are many places to stay in Santiago at this price range, but I truly recommend you to stay somewhere else. This hotel has long passed its best before date and as an architect I can see it needs to be torn down. It doesn't fulfill the expectations of a 4 star hotel in todays Santiago or Chile. Santiago is a modern city with awesome neighborhoods like Vitacura and Las Condes that can offer amazing modern hotels, especially tall hotels that offer great views of the city, excellent service, and contemporary requirements of good wifi, coffee, wonderful breakfasts, etc. This offers neither of these qualities. I don't want to be too cranky and I want to say that the staff has great potential, not the hotel. I will stress that the bathrooms are extremely awfully planned and dirty, the air-conditioning won't let you sleep, the beds are uncomfortable and if in a twin-bed room they are extremely small, the views not great. The public spaces such as the pool is extremely small, lounge areas are full of old furniture that isn't planned in context, and as I am also asthmatic there are full of dusty corners due to the architecture and interior and unhygienic spots. The hotel at lunchtime seemed to have a bunch of older fans coming for lunch, though I do not understand how the hotel can survive. Probably due to its slightly cheaper price on booking compared with other hotels in the area, but I sincerely do recommend the management to consider tearing the place down, hiring a Japanese architect like Sejima or Scandinavian architect like Sandell, because the place is worth more than this. And the customers are worth more than this. Please, pay a few more dollars and get your money's worth elsewhere.
