We enjoy a nice stay. The room was very pleasant.Breakfast also was good. The hotel has central localization and we enjoy walking and shopping. The staff is very kind and helpful chiefly take care luggage.
The hotel was charming with the feeling of a small, convenient and well managed place to stay. Our room was lovely; the bath, a perfect size,;and the breakfast room, an array of tables of delicious items. The personnel answered all our questions about a tour of the city, provided advice and maps, and were very accommodating in calling a cab we had previously booked,
The hotel is located in Central Santiago, about 600m from Plaza de Armas. The rooms are large and bathroom is fine, and staff are helpful especially the person in charge of baggage. Breakfast is a large spread and nice. However, the issue is that the hotel hasn't been renovated in a long time. The Airconditioner made noise and the bed was not very comfortable.
This hotel is very well located for tourist sites and nearby pedestrian street with many stores and street vendors. All staff were efficient and helpful. Breakfast had good variety. The room was spacious. The front desk staff were especially helpful on many occasions.
Despite limited English for some staff, staff went out of their way to assist with questions and problems. The room was clean and of a nice size. The internet in the room was very spotty and dropped in and out - we found there was a stronger and constant signal in the lobby, restaurant and just outside. Breakfast had a lot of variety. Hot water was only luke warm no matter what time of day. Great location for further travel or access to the city centre.
This hotel was a reasonable price & well situated for The Palace, Museum and cheaper eateries. The breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of food. The selection of fruit was poor although, for me, an abundance of mashed avocado made up for that. The hotel front office staff weren’t helpful and had a mediocre command of English. The noise at night was horrendous with a nightclub emptying out at 2.30 spilling out raucous patrons. The curtains didn’t quite cover the windows so the room was very light given its position (close to a nightclub and flashing lights of the nearby restaurants). When I arrived I was impressed with the Nescafé machine and ‘a’ coffee pod. However I never saw another one, there was no kettle, tea or anything else in the room. While I agree holidays are not for watching TV it would be nice to relax and watch something if wanted. The only channel in English was BBC World and that took some finding. If I returned to Santiago I would not stay here again - it’s not for the faint hearted.…
Pros: - Well located in downtown Santiago..close to Mondena square and metro - Good selection of breakfast and lunch - Big rooms Cons: - The hotel looks a bit old, the lobby is not a nice place to visit. Luckily the rooms are nicer. - the WiFi quality is not stable I stayed at the 5th and the 9th floor and at the 9th floor I had really issues.
I stayed here recently, good location in old Santiago, walked to distance to many attractions in the area. 3 star comfort in a busy city Good breakfast selection. Good to have a window that opens for fresh air rather than relying on AC
Ideal if you want to stay within walking distance of the center of Santiago. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Clean and large rooms. The shower drain in my room was clogged and the bed was too soft but That was only regarding the particular room I was in. I had friends staying at the same hotel and their room was okay. I noticed that they were refurbishing other rooms.
Hotel is in a great location for access to museums, the main avenue along the river and several interesting neighborhoods. Staff were friendly and helpful. Unlike one reviewer, we experienced great English support for our miserable Spanish skills . There was an English-fluent gentleman at the front desk and the guy who managed the dining room spoke some English as well. Decor is a bit funky but the room was functional and clean. We walked everywhere from the hotel and loved the central location.
