We stayed in Le Reve Boutique Hotel for three nights during a family vacation to Chile and Easter Island. We arrived late on a Saturday night after a long day of travel. Having eaten only airplane and airport lounge food all day, the man at the front desk checked us in and watched our luggage while we ran down the street to have a late dinner before the restaurants closed. We then went up to our room which was cozy, comfortable, air conditioned, very peaceful and had a television with some U.S. stations available. Many nice restaurants and shops in the immediate vicinity. Also a short walk to the Teleférico de Santiago (aerial tramway). The staff at Le Reve was extremely helpful throughout our entire stay, arranging transportation and recommending a nearby gym, places to see and good restaurants. This boutique hotel was sold to us through a luxury travel company who we trusted along with the exceptional ratings on Trip Advisor. Sadly on arrival, we stood ignored at reception whilst the receptionist took a call and conversed with a colleague. The lift states a maximum of one person so we used it separately as we had each a large suitcase with us, which wouldn’t have fit. Worryingly the lift didn’t quite meet with the floor when we got out! The room was very small, tiny wardrobe and not even a full length mirror. Breakfast served in a dark almost claustrophobic room with only low tables to sit at, however, the produce on offer was good quality albeit limited. I’d liken this hotel to a good B&B acceptable for a short stay but certainly not the comfort or facilities requited for a longer stay. We compared it to other boutique and chain hotels in Santiago and for us, the exceptional rating is unjustified when others provide far better at comparable prices, and for those very reasons, we moved after our first night.

A very lovely oasis of calm in a bustling city. Our rear room with a terrace overlooked the stunning courtyard/garden and was especially quiet because it did not face the street. The continental breakfast was excellent, the room was smallish but very comfortable, and the shower great. Le Reve is a beautiful, friendly, comfortable and welcoming hotel. We stayed for our pre-and post cruise nights in Santiago, and it was also the perfect location. Breakfast was faultless and can be eaten in the pretty courtyard garden. An honesty bar and complimentary snacks are available at the end of the day before going out to dinner to one of the many restaurants within walking distance. The staff do everything to make sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible and they were all charming. They recommended restaurants, walks, and trips, all of which were excellent and the one day private wine tasting tour was particularly memorable. What sets Le Reve apart from other hotels is its personal touch and peaceful ambience.

The staff are accommodating flexible and helpful wherever they can be. 31 rooms set in a classic European style building on 4 floors and centrally located. The rooms and bathrooms are on the small side but have crisp white fresh linen, fluffy new towels, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and slept well every night. The lounge/breakfast area is very stylish an spacious. The breakfast is excellent and very well presented. Lovely coffee pods and crispy bacon were my favourites. The cereal, fruit selection and charcuterie also first class. There are plenty of nice eateries and convenience stores close by in the safe neighbourhood.

The hotel is situated in a great location, where a variety of restaurants and bars are easily within walking distance. The hotel is also close to the metropolitan park and you can easily walk to the gondola at one of the park. The hotel is beautiful, a welcoming backyard patio that is beautiful and relaxing. I loved this hotel. It is so beautiful and charming. Everything about it is perfect from the service to the gorgeous garden. It’s a lovely building covered in ivy on a street with many dining opportunities. The furnishings transport you to France with cozy ambiance. Rooms are very well appointed, each with a large window that opens to the garden or street. The breakfast has many choices, all delicious. There is a help yourself bar with snacks in the afternoon which can be enjoyed in the shaded garden, an oasis in the city. I thought it was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in anywhere in the world.

The Hotel building speaks for itself. A corner of Europe in a megacity like Santiago, beautiful and run by helpful and smiling staff. The fact of not entering one of those hotels with 200 rooms and sad skyscrapers, but in a cozy, small and well-kept environment already make you relax and feel at home. Before my arrival I exchanged numerous mails to organize transfers to and from the airport and the Guided Tour of Santiago with our extremely helpful and knowledgeable guide. We were treated like two people at home and not like tourists. The wonderful room with a fabulous bathroom. An honorable mention for the cleanliness.
