We stayed here for only one night and were so happy with the accommodation that we wished we could have stayed longer. A spacious room with lovely furnishings, comfortable beds and great linen. It's a handy location for airport transfers and public transport. The owners are very helpful and friendly. The best b and b breakfast we had in Chile... More

My husband, best friend and I spent 10 fabulous days in Santiago and eight great nights at Casa Bonita. Dennis and Carolina and the rest of the staff could not have been kinder. The room was fabulous and spotlessly clean. The windows were amazing and the fresh air that swept through the room was delightful. My friend was pickpocketed and... More

This was a great place to stay in Santiago. The rooms are beautiful and clean, and the staff are lovely. It is in a central location that is close to everything. It is also very affordable. Totally recommend!

In july we spend one night at Casa Bonita. The host, Dennis came to pick us up at the airport and was really helpfull. He and his wife gave us lots of information about sightseeiing in Santiago and the rest of Chile. The B&B itself is very cosy and neat. We slept very wel (quiet street), the breakfast was very... With my wife and our son, we stayed 8 nights at Casa Bonita. We've been delighted by this charming B&B, where quality and comfort fit perfectly with simplicity and good taste. Or room was large, painted with bright colors, had wooden floor, large windows and a nice balcony. The place is quiet, even if it sits very close to colleges... More

We arrived in early April and we were one of the first guests that arrived after the necessary refurbushings because of the earthquake. Although we heard from Dennis (that picked us from the airport!) that there has been quite some work done, they managed to fix everything so quickly. The place looked and smelled like new. The atmosphere in this... More

All of the good things posted by others are accurate. We would stay there again in a heatbeat. Transport driver dropped us at the wrong address, 5 Ave. Republica instead of 5 Paje Republica which is a small street almost directly across from Ave. Republica. We asked someone to call Casa Bonita and they directed us the additional 100 meters... More

If you are into swanky hotels and marble bathrooms, go somewhere else, but if you are looking for a nice, homey, clean and affordable kind of place, this is your way to go. Dennis and Carolina are more than helpful, no matter what your problem or enquiry might be. Casa Bonita is just one minute walk from a metro station... More

We stayed at Casa Bonita on 8th March 2010, this was just a week after the earthquake and there were a couple cracks that were noticeable but the charm of this B&B shone through. There was no structural damage and I think by now that any sign of the earthquake will have disappeared as Dennis (the very helpful owner) was... More

We arrived shortly after the Feb. 27th earthquake! Casa Bonita survived the quake well with minor damage. Despite their own problems Dennis and Carolina emailed us to see if we were safe and to reassure us that our rooms were available. It was truly welcome news and we found our stay to be very pleasureable. The location was very convenient... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Casa Bonita is an old house restored as a bed & breakfast. It is a National Monument located in a protected historical neighbourhood in the center of Santiago. Casa Bonita has a high historical value for Chile since it used to belong to the well known Vicaria de la Solidaridad del Arzobispado de Santiago, a foundation created in 1976 aiming to protect and defend human rights during the Military Regime. The Vicaria supported 984 cases and operated during the entire Military Regime. It closed in 1992. Casa Bonita offers a cosy environment with well furnished rooms, new and modern bathrooms, a comfortable living and dining room, a lovely interior garden and an internet room with free access. Casa Bonita is personally run by its owners (a Dutch-Chilean marriage) aiming to provide its guests with a quality service for a fair price. Due to its location and infrastructure, Casa Bonita is oriented to both tourists and business people. ... more   less
