We are one of the view hostels of elevated standard in the Chilean capital city that embraces ecological and sustainable aspects in concept and design. First of all, we wish to be a pleasant and comfortable place of encounter and exchange between persons and cultures. Furthermore, we put our best foot forward to be eco-friendly with our environment and feel committed to a more responsible and sensitive tourism. Our hostel disposes of 10 cosy rooms distributed on two floors, each one with its own style and design. We offer different types of rooms, so that all of our customers will find the ideal way of allocation according to her/his needs. Our services include a full breakfast, free WiFi and towels. Our hostel is situated in Bellavista, Santiago’s traditional bohemian and cultural neighbourhood, within a district declared historical monument. We're happy about this privileged location, at the foot of the emblematic San Cristóbal hill and look very much forward to welcoming you!!!

As previous reviewers have said, whilst the rooms are simple and clean (nothing wrong with that!) the thing that makes Tambo Verde special is the social and the friendly staff. I unexpectedly had to travel solo on this trip, but Tambo Verde was an epic place to stay and meet new friends, who I went for dinner with and excursions on (not just in Santiago but in 2 other cities too!) The breakfast is plentiful and in a wonderful courtyard setting that lends itself to people chatting and getting to know each other. When the owner realised that I was travelling solo, he without warning said that he’d only charge me the single person rate for the twin room I’d been in - I really wasn’t expecting this and it was very kind. I would come back to Tambo Verde tomorrow, and thank you for making my time in Santiago so good. 100% recommended.…

The rooms were simple and clean, but what really made this place great was the location, service, courtyard and price. It was the perfect place for 3 friends traveling together! We felt very safe in this little hostal tucked away on a quiet street in the Bellavista neighorhood.

Awesome hostal, where you feel at home. I totally recommend it !! The owner Christian and all his staff are super kind and super helpful. They all get along together very well and you can feel it, they make you at ease. They helped us about problems we had with COVID / vaccine center / bikes / theft (almost all kind of problems !). The breakfast is delicious and huge. The place is beautiful and cosy. It is very clean. It's so important to feel comfy at home in a city like Santiago. I really loved my stay here ! Thanks a lot to everyone !

« We had a very nice stay at Tamboverde. All of the staff were very nice and welcoming every day and we really enjoyed the ambience of the hotel. The room was clean and nice and the breakfasts were good with several parts homemade. Would definitely stay again! » Fanny Andy

This was really a great hostal, wow! Our host, Christian, was just amazing. Taking the time to explain us about the city, sharing his experiences as he moved from Germany to Chile a couple of years ago, and recommending plenty of good places. The hostal itself is absolutely beautiful. Great rooms & bathrooms, super clean and the hostal itself is very cosy and nicely decorated. Breakfast was super good, 24h reception, location in Bellavista is really great, what to say more?? Stay here as long as you can!

This was by far the best hostal of my trip to Chile! Christian has created a peaceful retreat just steps from the action in Bella vista. My bed was very comfortable, rooms come with everything you need, and the included breakfast was some of the best food I had during my trip. All the staff who work here are lovely- I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Santiago.

Great place! Relaxed atmosphere, very cosy. The owner was really friendly, with great suggestions for food/drinks. He also brought us along to a local flea market (biobio?) in his car. Other staff was also really friendly, and all speak English. Everything was clean (including kitchen and shower). The dorms were good as well: the beds were soft, you have your own socket and plank to put your phone/book on, and a locker is also provided. Finally, the breakfast was tasty! Bread, fresh yoghurt, muesli, coffee. All in all a great place to stay in Santiago!!

I stayed at Eco Hostal for one week and i had a great experience. Just some minutes walking from all the main places to visit in Santiago city center, this hostel is very comfortable, has a great design, and a lot of attention is given to all the small details, what made my stay there excellent. There is a very nice patio, perfect for having a good moment at the end of the afternoon. The staff is very professional and friendly and every morning we can enjoy a tasty and healthy breakfast.

This hostel deservedly is very popular. Host Christian and his excellent staff provide a relaxing and comfortable experience in a well maintained, clean and happy environment, suitable for all age groups. An ample and healthy breakfast is provided and includes fresh juice and bread made daily on the property. There is a comfortable lounge/dining area and garden courtyard with seating. The location is great; within 5-10 minute walk to restaurants and bars, 30 minute walk to major sights and is also close to public transport options. Airport transfers can also be arranged. Will be staying there again!

One of the best hostel I have ever been. Very comfortable, clean, nice breakfast, good atmosphere and specially Christian and his staff, they were super nice and helpful with us. In the room was a bit warm but they have fans available. I would come back 100%.
