Great and varied rivers for brown and rainbow trout. King salmon is seasonal and difficult to catch on a fly from my point of view. Knowledgeable English-speaking local guides only too keen to help with tackle and fishing advice. Guaranteed 6 hours fishing from drift boats excluding daily travel to local rivers. The lodge itself, which is the base, provided...

I can't say enough about the service and attention given by John and Teresa Joy at Tres Rios Lodge and their B&B Tradicion. I spent four nights at the B&B and the last night at the lodge overlooking Osorno Volcano in early December. What spectacular scenery. John was great about answering all my questions and assisting in my planning before...

Stayed a week at Tres Rios Lodge in early December and had a fantastic time. I wanted an exciting fly-fishing vacation targeting numerous large, strong rainbow and brown trout and this lodge came through like a Royal Flush. Unsurpassed personalized attention thanks to John, Teresa and Michelle, peaceful surroundings with a magnificent view (perfect for total relaxation after a day's...

My daughter and I went to Chile for fly fishing and sightseeing. At Tres Rios Lodge John Joy and his wife Teresa provided us with an unforgettable six days of fly fishing and sightseeing. It began long before we got to the lodge with planning. John provided invaluable assistance with planning. Once there all went well exploring Puerto Varas, a...

The Tres Rios Lodge was really nice with the most spectacular views. It was quiet and a really nice place to relax and enjoy the scenery. We fished with John for 2 days (Maullin River and Petrohue River) and they were some of the best days of our lives! My husband is a novice fly fisherman and I had never...

Everything was amazing in this trip! The lodge has a great view of the vulcanos Osorno, Puntiagudo and Cabulco. The cabin is confortable, excelent bed and bathroom with everything a man and woman need. Teresa, John and their son John Lucas are extremily friendly people and handled everything we needed during our stay. They never seemed tired of helping. The...

My wife and I had limited time for a Patagonian fly fishing experience and luckily we came across Tres Rios lodge. Pre-trip communication was clear and John was very understanding of our desires and constraints. Once we arrived the time on the water was great. John's knowledge of the river and skill at putting us in the right place on...

My father-in-law took his four son-in-laws and his grandson fishing and we stayed with John and Teresa at the house for 5 days. The fishing was great with a ton of time on the water and great scenery. For those who didn't want to fish everyday, John put together a tour of the area for my wife (who came down...

My family of 4 spend 3 nights in one of their cabins over winter break vacation. It is on a gravel road to nowhere nestled in the foothills with breathtaking views of 3 volcanoes. It is remote and beautiful. We had breakfast to order each morning at the "main house" at a time we set. The advice we got from...
