My husband and I stayed in Vira Vira for 3 nights during our 3 week honeymoon in Chile. Staying in Vira Vira was exceptional from start to finish! In short - It was the highlight of our trip to Chile! Everything was beyond expectation - the food, the welcome & service we received, & the accommodation (villa room). Longer version- From the minute I contacted Vira Vira the service was exceptional, Fernanda in reservations was very helpful and quick to respond to my emails. On arrival to Temuco airport we were picked up by the hotel and the driver had some snacks and water for us. We stayed in the Villa room, which was out of this world - spacious with tasteful yet simple interior, immaculately clean, the bathroom was spacious with a separate shower room, toilet and there was a lovely big bath tub. Finally, there was a fireplace in the room and a lovely lounge area!! The food - top notch! The food was of the highest standard and was an experience in itself! The presentation alone was a treat. The set menu every day had just a few choices, usually fish or meat for main course, however I am sure there were vegetarian options on request. I had fish every day as I don't eat meat and I loved all the different options. Breakfast was unreal!! The service - 100% ! The team were very relaxed yet perfectly attentive. Simone served us dinner each night and she was just excellent! The bar team made us the most gorgeous gin & tonics each night which we were able enjoy in the villa on front of the fire. The team seemed to get on very well together, so there was a lovely atmosphere amongst them. Greg the manager was very welcoming and kind and did everything to make our honeymoon stay extra special. The excursions - We enjoyed a trek each day with , he was lovely company and also so knowledgeable and passionate about nature and the beautiful surroundings. He also arranged for us to go horse riding and kayaking. All of the excursions were so enjoyable and not overly taxing! We would have stayed a 4th night if we knew how much we were going to love it, however 3 nights was nearly perfect too. The standard was 5 star throughout our stay. The atmosphere was professional, but so friendly and relaxed at the same time.…
We have stayed at several &Beyond properties in Africa. We chose to come to Chile because of &Beyond Vira Vira. We were not disappointed. Once again, &Beyond exceeds our expectations. We stayed in Villa #12. It was beautiful. We had a sitting area to enjoy the view. The bathroom was large with a tub and beautiful shower. Everything was situated so that you can appreciate the view, even the desk. There was plenty of space for our luggage, clothing and hiking equipment. We brought our own sticks even though they were provided. There is a nespresso machine as well as a tea kettle in the room. Housekeeping secretly comes in 2-3 times a day to stock the bar and tidy up. The restaurant was exceptional. Presentations are beautiful and the staff is wonderful. Food - excellent. Special shout out to Ricardo, our mixologist, while we were there. Makes the best drinks ever. Our guide was Nicolas and I cannot say enough good things about him. He was always prepared with our activity as well as being able to answer all questions from politics to nature. We did the following: kayaking, 1/2 day hike, full day hike, 1/2 mountain biking, white water rafting, cheese tour, and for an additional charge - helicopter tour of the volcano. Because the lodge was not at capacity, we had Nicolas as our personal guide the entire time we were there (4 nights). Front desk staff was pleasant and always ready to help. We cannot recommend Vira Vira enough.…
Just returned from a 7 night stay with my family of 4 – Wife and 2 kids (11 & 12). We travel 4 times a year all over the world and this was one of our best trips ever. Traveling to Chile is challenging right now due to the Covid measures in place for visiting so it was by far one of the most stressful trips I have ever planned. But everything went perfectly and I need to give a shoutout to Cleo at andBeyond who answered all my questions and kept me calm and informed. The Lodge – Flawless. Extremely well maintained, luxurious and comfortable. Not a single issue and spotless. Beautiful location right on the river. Food – I’m not a foodie. Have never really cared much about food as long as I eat. This place had, by far, the best food I have ever had. Even breakfast was gourmet. Veggies tasted different and I actually ate more in a day than I have in years at home they were that good. Best steak and veal I have ever eaten by a wide margin. Deserts were creative and amazing. Service – Hard to believe that in today’s challenging hospitality environment when most are struggling to deliver even basic level service they excelled. Our rooms were made up at least 3 times a day and I never saw them. Service at the restaurants was the most attentive and friendly I have ever experienced. A few mentions: Julian, Leylah and Claudio, our waiters, were so patient and friendly. Ricardo and Diego, bartenders, made amazing drinks for our entire family. Greg, the Manager, was friendly and professional and checked in on us frequently. Activities – We had our own private guide, Patricio, for the entire week and he was excellent. Knowledgeable, patient, friendly and funny. The list of activities is long. Here is what we did: Glacier Hike (not to be missed), 2x White Water Rafting, 2x Fishing, 2x Horseback riding, Canyoning down a 200+ foot waterfall, River Floating, Cheese Factory and Garden tour. We were busy the entire week. Overall, excellent value for the money. This was our 3rd stay and andBeyond properties and definitely not the last. Improvement Opportunities: Can’t think of one.…
Vira Vira is a luxurious resort set in beautiful, natural surroundings. The property design and decor was lovely and had all the amenities we needed. The staff were exceptionally attentive and helpful throughout our stay. The food in the restaurant was amazing. Everything was fresh, locally sourced and they even have a cheese factory on site providing wonderful dairy products and cheese. There are plenty of activities and excursions available which is organized by the staff. Wonderful experience!
andBeyond Vira Vira Is a beautiful resort alongside Liucura River which is mild and alllows for a relaxing floating experience on a raft. This activity and many others such as horseback riding among native forest, trecking and visiting the dairy farm are part of the all inclusive package. Bar tenders prepares incredible cocktails and service goes way beyond expectations in their friendliness and disposition. Great rooms, abundant mini bar, tea and coffee. Great way to pamper yourself and rest.
There is a reason why andBeyond Vira Vira has a 5 star rating…you cannot go wrong here! My husband and I stayed for 6 nights and were very sad to leave. Lodge Manager Gregory Franc is doing a fantastic job and his entire team are genuinely happy to assist in making your stay comfortable, enjoyable and memorable. Jessica at the Front Desk was awesome and always super helpful and Nicolas our Guide was the BEST. Nicolas is so knowledgeable which made him an awesome guide. We are already making plans to return next year. We stayed for 6 nights/7 days and did not get bored once. If you don't feel like doing any activities offsite one can walk around the beautiful grounds, get a spa treatment, soak in the hot tub, visit their own cheese factory, etc. Meals: Gourmet 3-course Lunch & Dinners / Breakfast Buffet Staff: Super friendly, attentive & helpful Activities: They have something for all levels — They have Half Day and Full Day activities. Full Day activities typically start at 9A or earlier depending on what Full Day activity you choose. And if you choose a half day activity in the morning, you will be back in time for Lunch. If you choose a half day activity in the afternoon, it will typically start after lunch. And Full Day activities include a picnic lunch which the Guide happily carries in his pack. Villa: Very spacious and comfortable w/ awesome views; The Bathroom had a double vanity, soaking tub overlooking the river, walk-in shower and separate room for toilet Seriously, THE place to go!…
What a wonderful stay in the Lakes District. Rooms: we had villa #10. Well appointed, comfortable and good shower. Beautiful view of the river. Activities: we did a river float, hiked in both national parks and helicopter sightseeing. Guides were kind and knowledgeable. We had Eddie and Nicholas for our activities. Food: you won’t be hungry. Good menus with 3 courses for lunch and dinner with two options for each course. Snacks sent on activities. Full bar (premium liquors and wines have up charge) and wine for dinner we’re very good. Bartender Diego can make some lovely cocktails. Overall a wonderful stay. This is our second andBeyond experience and both are exceptional.
We stayed at Vira Vira during the December 2020 solar eclipse and were impressed beyond belief. The rooms are exceptional with the comfort and luxury of an elite resort, but the food will forever shine as the highlight. The chef creates a farm to table menu that satisfied all, even the vegetarian in the family. The cheese board was a must at every meal and the on-site cheese factory tour will leave you appreciating every bite which reflects the art of the master cheese maker. One cannot say enough about the staff who accommodated every request, even arranging a private nurse to come to the hotel to administer a PCR test for the family on a Sunday, which was a requirement to board another flight and continue our travels on to Patagonia. We loved our tour guide, Angie who felt like part of the family after 3 days of excursions together. The white water rafting was so much fun and will be a favorite family memory for years to come! Oh, and the eclipse, it somehow perfectly appeared between the rain and the clouds to be a spiritually moving experience, as if Vira Vira arranged the miracle as a special reward for only their guests!…
&Beyond Vira Vira is the kind of place you remember long after leaving the Lakes District. It’s a gorgeous setting for exploring the many national parks in the area, but coming back to your exquisite Villa (and don’t hesitate to book a Villa here - it’s well worth it!) after a day of adventuring is the ultimate reward (private Jacuzzi to soak those sore muscles followed by a glass of wine by the fireplace, anyone?). Pucon itself can get quite busy in the summertime with lots of Chileans vacationing there — the town of 20,000 people swells to upwards of 100,000 during the summer months — but at Vira Vira you don’t really feel it because you’re removed from town and it's possible to visit more remote areas. What I love about Vira Vira is that it’s undeniably Chilean — if the volcanoes, rivers & forests outside your window don’t convince you, you’ll be reminded by the beautiful textiles & artwork throughout the property, the real huaso (Chilean cowboy) who will take you horseback riding, and the first-rate hospitality. The staff is wonderful and attentive, and anticipates your every need before even you yourself knows what that may be. Greg & Paula make you feel like family! And the dining experience is truly exceptional too. My meals at Vira Vira were the best on my several week adventure through Chile. The lodge makes its own high-quality cheeses & breads and majority of the ingredients are sourced from its own organic garden - farm to table at its finest!…
Ok so once we had seen the BBC programme 'Behind the lobby' my wife wanted us to stay here. She consequently built an 18 night holiday in Chile all around staying at this fabulous resort for 4 nights. Yes its expensive but when you actually breakdown what you get for your money it actually makes a load of sense. From arriving at the local airport and meeting your driver who has a couple of lunch bags for you to eat on the 2.5Hr journey to the actual arrival itself with staff waiting with cold towels and friendly smiles, the whole experience is delightful! The room we had was smart and spacious with your own balcony overlooking the small lake in which ducks and a lonley swan glide around in. Downstairs is the dining area and bar and you can get a coffee or something stronger pretty much when you want. The meals throughout the day are exceptional and they will always do something to your own taste if you want. Everything is true to the local Mapuche culture with plenty of local products around the resort. When you arrive you sit down with your dedicated private guide to discuss what activities you would like to do during your stay (all included in the cost) We got really lucky as our guide was a delightful fella called Felipe who we took to straight away. For the next 4 doors Felipe treated us to some experiences that overwhelmed our senses. But without doubt if you do go pls request Felipe as your guide as he will make your stay and absolute joy!…
