We stayed 2 nights at this charming old lodge. The age does not mean it is run down. In fact it is well maintained without things like televisions in the rooms etc. I regard this as part of the general experience of wilderness areas which we enjoy. However it does have wifi. The rooms are spacious with views of the... More

This is a house straight out of a German fairy tale, right on a lake with a wonderful view of distant snow-capped, volcanic peaks. The interior is old-fashioned and cozy. Rooms are wood-panelled and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful. If you're lucky, as we were, you can enjoy a generous welcome appetizer and pisco sour on arrival. Food is... More

I stayed here in September 2015 on a work trip and had an awesome time. The lodge is beautiful and my room was pretty standard but comfortable. The views of the lake from the room are great, but get outside and explore the area to really enjoy the beauty. The lake, river and volcano are spectacular. Franz and all the... More

While the hotel is very nice, and the service is excellent, the location is not the best. It is located at the end of the road and every day it is over-crowded with people, cars, and buses. It's like gridlock. It's also very dusty given the ash that is everywhere from the recent volcano eruption. Also, the hot water is... More

The hotel is located right next to the lake and has stunning views. The service is good and the rooms are spacious. The food at the restaurant is also nice. For a hotel having a monopoly here it is outstanding. Don't expect too much from the pool. It's cold and not very special.

The lodge is a perfect place to discover the beautiful national park, a few very nice hikes start here, we hiked the 'paso desolacion', perfect view on the lake and four volcanos. For the second day the advised us on a walk from Ralun to Cayutue. After the hikes we relaxed in... More

This lodge is beautiful. It has lovely rooms and charming employees. However, this does not extend to the restaurant. We stayed there for three days this month on a breakfast/dinner included plan. The breakfast was normal Chilean, but the eggs were poorly cooked. Dinner, however, was uniformly awful with overcooked vegetables and pre-cooked or frozen entrees. Although there are few... More

Most visitors come to this hotel for the views and the sports - hiking, cycling, white water rafting. The hotel is at the end of the road - to go further you take a series of ferries and buses over the Andes into Argentina. Considering that it really has no competition, the hotel was surprisingly good. Our room, on the... More

We stayed here as part of a cycling tour and would highly recommend it. Hiking and kayaking plus lake tours. Lovely building and history. Ask if you can visit the private museum. Small pool and deck. Wish we'd has more time to hang out but we had to get back on the bikes.
