Jayleen clark Quay is very conveniently located. Right across the Clark Quay Metro Station. The bus stand is also right at the entrance of the Hotel. While coming by Metro, take the exit to Eau Tong Street or Clark Quay central mall. You just have to cross the over bridge to reach the Hotel. The Clark Quay River front is also walking distance. Lots of eating joints Around we had booked the deluxe room which had adequate space. The Hotel provides a coffee maker which I didn't know so I had carried my own. We had booked with breakfast package. Breakfast is served in its sister Hotel which is just about 2 minutes walking distance. It was really delicious breakfast. The staff is very cooperative and cordial. Good budget Hotel to stay.

we did not stay there. We arrived at jayleen hotel looking for another hotel, zen rooms clarke quay. Outside the door of jayleen, we saw a sign showing that zen rooms is to be found here. In we went, asking the very friendly concierge (of jayleen - we did not know that back than) if this was zen rooms. He confirmed they were. We asked for an available room, there was one (rather high rate). We by then concluded (from the rate - zen rooms would have been way lower) that he offered us a room at jayleen hotel. We then asked him if he would kindly tell us where zen rooms were, as we would have liked to stay there. Surprise: now he told us he did not know anything about zen rooms, or where this hotel is (zen rooms is supposed to be in the same building!). So we left. We asked the neighbouring 7eleven for zen rooms, the cashier in turn asked other (obviously local) customers about it. no one had ever heard about it. After comparing both hotels pictures at agods, we conclude that jayleen hotel and zen rooms must be the same place after all. We dunno whats going on there, seemed a bit fishy and dingy so we decided on some other place.

Our room was a decent size (deluxe room), just enough for a couple. We didn’t spend much time in the room anyway so it was ok for us. The furniture is outdated and the hotel is tired and needs an update. One thing I have to point out is the lack of cleanliness - there were long black hair on the floor when we checked in, still there at the check out 4 nights later so I believe the floor hasn’t been mopped for a while. The bathroom was quite mouldy and didn’t seem very clean either. On a good side - the location is superb - Clarke Quay MRT is just across the road, lots of eateries nearby and lots of places are within walking distance. AC worked really well and we didn’t have any issues with hot water. Breakfast was surprisingly good with plenty of choice and nice service. The reception staff were helpful and friendly, special mention to Eddie.
