I have stayed at the St Regis Singapore more than 25 times since in opened more than a decade ago and admittedly this was my first visit post pandemic but I was highly disappointed in my experience. Some data points: - they are very understaffed and have reduced the porter/doorman service to one which makes getting a taxi/car and unloading luggage impossible. We had to bring our own bags inside and no one greeted us. - it took 45 minutes to check in and while the front desk was very friendly, they were extremely slow and caused us to be late for a dinner. There was nothing complicated about our reservation so I don't understand why it took so long. - the beds remain the highlight of the rooms but the decor and technology needs updating. One of the bedside light control unit did not work at all. Both of our rooms had weird musty smells. - the shower has amazing water pressure but the rubber seal under the door was failing causing a large puddle in the bathroom. I know that this hotel has changed ownership at least once in the past several years but I hope the current owner spends some money staffing up and making necessary renovations as this used to be one of my favorite hotels. Overall this was a very disappointing stay for us.

Overall ambience is great. All hotel staffs have great service and I like their butler service. The food is great for the in room dining and there’s a wide selection of semi buffet breakfast at the French restaurent. Only pity is they do not have Netflix or Disney plus channel, but they do have quite a couple of cable channels n a speaker that you can link your device via Bluetooth. Although I can see wear an tear on the bathing robes, bedsheets and wallpaper but the room cleanliness is still tip-top.

The St Regis in Singapore was gorgeous. One of the highest standards anywhere that we have seen. We had four children with us, and it was a lovely time. The food was wonderful. The pool is beautiful (you wouldn’t even know you are in the heart of the city) but on the smaller side

Where do I begin......... I have had the privilege of traveling the world in my 38 years of life, I have stayed at some stunning properties from 6 stars to hostels backpacking thru Europe. St Regis Singapore is the absolute My Everest of True Luxury. When you step foot inside this magnificent hotel you are blown away by the elegance and prestige. The time and thought to build this masterpiece of a property truly takes your breath away and exudes true timeless Luxury. The rooms are huge and just so well designed and dripping in elegance. The marble bathrooms, the chandeliers, the fixtures and mahogany....PURE CLASS is my thoughts when I stepped into our St Regis suite for the first time. The whole property is magical and we were lucky enough to call the magical place home for 23 nights. The staff, well this is the best part, every single staff member in the building ( and behind the scenes ) were absolutely remarkable. The level of service that St Regis Singapore exudes goes far beyond 6 stars in my opinion. The personalisation, responding to cues, the politness, courtesy and true passion for their job can truly be felt. If I wrote a list of names that I personally got to know and love, there would be pages and pages and no room to write this review. From the General manager, all levels of managerment, the amazing doormen and porters, concierge, the front office team, the whole F & B team, THE BUTLER TEAM ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.....THE LIST COULD GO ON AND ON...... ( FOOD WAS EXQUISITE AND LEVEL OF SERVICE SUPURB )We have to be the luckiest family in the world to have experienced St Regis Singapore as long as we did.....THIS IS WHAT A TRUE 6 STAR HOTEL SHOULD BE AND IT EXCEEDED AND EXPECTATIONS BY MILES..... Unfortunately the day before we were to fly home to Australia, my mum was rushed to hospital in an ambulance and was put in ICU on a ventilator. It truly was a traumatic and horrifying experience and by the grace of God, my dear mum survived and is going to be ok........This is were the whole entire team at St Regis ( as if they were not amazing enough took it to a whole new level) The compassion, support and understanding thru such a terrible time was such a remarkable effort on everyone's behalf. The kindness and beautiful humanity that was shown to us we'll never leave us for as long as we shall live. We truly are forever grateful and I will always call St Regis Singapore our home. Words cannot express our gratitude to every SINGLE ONE OF YOU!!! May God bless you all and again thankyou so much from the bottom of our hearts ❤️❤️❤️ To experience this Hotel is surely a once in a lifetime opportunity and I couldn't recommend ST REGIS SINGAPORE enough 10/10 is not high enough marks...... Kindest regards Jonny, Rany, Maya and Mum

The hotel is quite good in terms of room size, 5 stars atmosphere, although the hotel building is quite old but very well maintained, the staff was very friendly and helpful in particular at reception lobby, arrival greetings except staff in restaurant (breakfast) because they were just okay. however the breakfast were good, they served delicious meal of nasi lemak, salmon rice and laksa singapore. we loved it. Meanwhile, I remember the lady staff with bangs hair and glasses, she was very kind and helpful and also a concierge staff named Mr. Shalihin who was super kind and helpful. Further, the hotel location is quite strategic and walking distance to nearest shopping center like orchard.

Now I am quite reluctant to give 4 stars when really the service was exceeding 5 stars. The reason is when I researched and made the booking it mentioned free welcome drinks and we never got them (such as tea or coffee waiting for you in your room), we didn’t get turndown service for the first couple of days and only when we mentioned it did it commence. Our first night we got no sleep as there was excessive in room party noise from adjoining rooms whom were from a wedding party and despite me calling for someone to ask them to stop, it didn’t stop until some 4-5jours later. I feel the price we paid was several hundred pounds lost for our first night expected experience, which made us tired for the first few days. Also it mentions complimentary butler tea and coffee throughout your stay in a booklet in your room and yet when checking in we were given a leaflet which showed his only being the case as it was between 6 a.m. & 11a.m. and so not throughout my stay as this implied. Any butler requested drinks out if these hours are charged. We are due to go back to Singapore in July and whilst we loved the hotel and staff, just a little unsure spending the extra for less than we expected this time. I am terminally ill and so the next will probably be my last in Singapore, so what it super special and as expected. Not that our stay wasn’t nice. I also watched a documentary on UK TV regarding the St. Regis Brand and it mentioned complimentary Tea and Coffee 24/7 via the butler service. However The staff are super friendly and the hotel has an elegant feel. We are just ordinary people and this a place where the super rich go and I can see service wise why. Always a smile and hello as you passed reception, the reception is very elegant open plan and not like a standard corporate hotel, It feels and is very personalised. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a small refrigerator. The tea is TWG brand and there are free varieties of tea. The room itself was huge and ample size for me a wheelchair user. It’s not adapted but then again I did not need an adapted room. In fact it was bigger than my daughters whole flat she has just moved in to! The bed is huge and of all my hotels ever visited throughout the world this is the biggest bed ever. It was comfortable and we requested softer pillows which were not a problem. Curtains are operated by buttons in the bedside cabinets and several lighting options, however there wasn’t a setting that was just tight for what we are used to. That’s just our preferences though. Our package included breakfast and it was the largest selection of local and western dishes ever offered in any hotel ever visited. The coffee though is extremely strong and for me personally undrinkable. So we opted for hot chocolate instead. Hash browns and beans are available also but not on the menu, they must be requested when ordering. I point out the breakfast was so big that we didn’t need lunch at all any day. I also used the disabled restroom near the lobby and the emergency call button had either faeces or blood on (see photos), which is a definite no no for any establishment. It was a delayed anniversary trip due to covid and there was a chocolate cake and fruit in the room for us and rose petal which were a surprising and appreciated touch. We also got strawberries left in the room by the butler service which were covered in chocolate as if they were butler suits. Exemplary! We loved the feel of the hotel, the friendliness, the location and the staff. Oh of course and the breakfast. Would recommend, for us it was just the initially mentioned problems/promoted service discrepancies that let it down.

Stayed in St Regis in January on a staycation with my family. As we are titanium member, and using the suite upgrade certificates, we were upgraded to the castor suite which is very nicely put together. Nice weather coupled with a nice pool makes for a good break before school starts. No lounges were available, and while the fittings in SR SG is not as opulant as that in SR NY, it is still very nice. Check in was smooth. Butler service was abit of hit and miss, some minor misunderstanding which was quickly cleared up by Dominic Chong, who also gave us very good attention and support throughout our stay. Spa was great, with Covid restrictions in place, it was very serene and relaxing without the usual crowd. Location was off orchard road but its like a 10 minutes walk to get to where the shopping belts are, not too big an issue. Chinese restaurant was good. We wished we could have stayed longer but got a hard backend with school starting!

Went for the high tea and it’s been a low point in our culinary journey in Singapore. For a hefty price, there’s no refills and a small amount of savouries served, of very average quality and taste. The cakes are ok, salmon quiche was dry and horrible. The “frozen strawberry Panna Cotta” served at the end had nothing frozen about it, except that maybe it was once a frozen supermarket dessert. Not nice at all. The saving grace here was that I got a Bonvoy discount, so I didn’t feel super bad about wasting time, money, appetite and calories here.

Dear ArcticRoll, Thank you for visiting us at The St. Regis Singapore and joining us for afternoon tea. Afternoon tea is one of St. Regis’ signature rituals and we take pride in making it an exquisite experience. I am truly sorry to hear that this was not the case this time. Chosen St Regis as the venue for my surprise proposal and was assisted by Dominic Chong and his butler team. Kudos to Dominic, who had been with me since planning stage till D-day. He was exemplary where he tended to all of my requests with upmost dedication to ensure everything would be in order. Special shout out to Kumar as well and the rest of the butler team who assisted my family and friends with lots of personal touches to execute the surprise proposal with huge success. 10 stars to the Butler Team. -Eugene Chiang
