Good wifi, interesting building, cheap for Singapore. Easy to get taxi. For Asia it is a touch of the old (which becomes rare now). Talk loud, be polite and the staff will love you. Dont bother with the negative comments. I chose this hotel because of the negative comments. No hotel can be that bad. I like it and will... More

If you're looking for a quiet place to work, this is the place. Yes, It's an old hotel, but I found it to be clean, and full of character! The ladies who run the place were friendly; several times they'd stop what they were doing to have a little chat. Quite interesting how the hotel came to be, its history... More

It cost like $280+ for two nights for two adults. Neither breakfast nor toiletries included. Only 2 bar of soap and 2 towels. The place is old , so as the receptionist. We technically booked this hotel so that we can have a place to crash after our two nights of party. What disappoints me is that we are not... More

I love the idea of Sloane Court Hotel - how a family continues to operate the hotel their father built back in the '60s while every other plot of land around them on Balmoral Road has gone the way of yet another multi-storey condominium. The hotel & restaurant are quaint reminders of English tourist hotels and the menu reflects that... More

This hotel is inexpensive and well-located. However, it is run down and not too clean. There are virtually no amenities. Two small bars of soap in the bathroom and two thin towels. Wi Fi is sporadic. Restaurant is very uninviting but I have never tried the food. The place seems to be run by two older ladies. One is very... More

There is a charming Berkeley Resturant on the left hand side of the reception at this traditional English country inn hotel that served old fashion western and local food that was popular in the 60s and 70s. It is operated by the same family that own the hotel. They served the best Mah Mee soup (S$13.30) in Singapore! The service,... More

You will either love it or hate this Hotel. Being from the UK (Liverpool) I loved it as it reminded me of the Bed & Breakfast establishments that are scattered throughout the British Isles which provide a comfortable bed with a hearty breakfast for travelers in a no frills family run mock Tudor hotel. However those non-Brits may not be... More

So this is a very cheap place for Singapore, especially so close to town. Don't expect any mod cons like a fridge in your room but if all want is a bed, air con, and a shower, this place will do the trick. Very very basic and dated, but clean and value for money. I'd come back again.

Last minute booking at airport was to see us here. Close to most things in Singapore that I wanted. Room was very tidy and comfortable with a quiet nights sleep wanted and that's what I got. Breakfast was just what the doctor ordered and was served with a smile. Thanks again and You will see me again.

I needed a hotel room for a one night stopover in Singapore, unfortunately the dates were during the Formula 1 race weekend. All hotels incur a levy and the room rates are ridiculous during this period. I had looked at most websites and managed to find this nice spacious hotel, close to the city. After reading mostly negative reviews with... More
