Not a bad hotel. The rooms are small but clean and the shower is hot. The bed is too hard so no oversleeping, but the AC works fine. If you only need a place to spent the night this is an OK hotel, but dont expect anything more than just that.

Wifi very bad. But reception is very good to receive. The reception team always helpful 24*7 when ever we are requested. The area also good for different kind of food items. It is very near by to Aljuined MRT station. From there we can access all areas in Singapore.

I stayed here in March 2016 for 4-5 nights and my experience with them is great. Hotel is nearby shops and restaurant. (I dont think there's restaurant in the hotel). 15-20 minutes distance (walking) to the train station. 10 minutes walk to Mosque. The staff are ok. Room is enough for person travelling alone. (Looking fresh and Clean)

I tried different hotel in Singapore. Of all other, I really liked Hotel 89 Palace because of its room rate and facility. If you are want to stay whole time at Hotel, then I would advice you to go for another hotel. Or else, if you want to spend only night at hotel, then it is the best hotel.

We stayed here for one week during the Singapore Hotel Asia Exhibition and found a clean hotel, nothing fancy but it did the job The rooms are small, many guests are noisy and you live in the middle of the "red light district" Apart from that, you can find excellent restaurants close by, there is always a taxi driving past... The hotel was what I expected. However what surprised me was the amount of money I paid. Booked it for 4 nights for the price of 139 S $. I noticed that additional charges would apply as service and local tax. You can imagine my surprise when I was charged 228 S $ more or less almost double the amount.

Staying in Geylang

Neighborhood Profile
Geylang
Only a short journey from Singapore’s sparkling and polished city center, Geylang is a world away. Here in one of the least touristy areas of Singapore, visitors are privy to an unfiltered glimpse of Singapore life. On Sunday afternoons, migrant workers gather in Geylang to let off steam after a tough week. At the eastern end of Geylang Road, families and friends happily enjoy picnics. By contrast, at the western end, a more colorful side of Singapore can be seen, as street workers mingle with Sunday revelers in outdoor coffee shops. Take a friend, grab a beer and a local meal (frog porridge, perhaps?), and settle in to enjoy the show.
