This place looks okay on the pictures. It was dripping from the roof, people walk in and out all night, the lights were on all night. I did not get any breakfast even though I waited for 45 min for it. I give thia place a big thumbs down.

The location is great since its right by the MRT, so easy to get to from the airport and zip downtown. However, it's less a hostel and more a place for foreign workers to stay....making it lack any charm a good hostel should have.

Don't waste your time booking this place if you're looking for comfort. It's like a squatter area for foreign workers. Apparently the original City Backpackers has closed down and moved it's operations to Kallang River Backpackers. They seemed to have made this place a home with racks of clothes in the room and even food shelves. The staff seemed very... More

I visited singapore for F1 Grand prix in September 2015 and unfortunately booked this hostel. The place sure offer a very low price but not even a penny is worth it. Being transferred from flight and entering a different time zone we were greeted with the most unpleasing welcome. The place literally stinks!

I stayed here 4 days, the price is very cheapm but the quality of this hotel is really poor. The bathroom was so dirty , so do the bedroom. If you have more money, i suggest you not to sleep here. The advantage fron staying at this hotel is near the MRT station.

We're lucky to find a cheap hotel near a train station, BUT we never expected that it was a horrible idea. Upon check in, a SG$10 deposit is needed for your locker located inside your designated room. Don't worry, you'll still get your money back upon checkout. The room is fine, BUT it's hard to tell if the bedsheets, blankets... More

This hostel is definitely not for every traveler out there. If you're used to a hostel that basically spoils you with goods and services, this place isn't for you. Here you get what you pay for: a bed, wifi (weak signal in room) ac, use of showers/bathrooms and a basic breakfast. You get nothing more but nothing less. From what... More

I didn't stay at the hostel, I just want to share my experience booking/cancelling my stay there! In late July I booked a stay at this hostel through Booking, shortly after I found a better solution and decided to cancel my reservation. Despite the cancellation was free of charge I have been charged one night from the hostel anyway. I... More

Things didn't get off to the best start when we were greeted by a nice big, juicy cockrach upon arrival. Our "double room" was a cupboard with a bunk bed and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a good few weeks. I guess for Singapore it was probably "value for money" but for S$35 a night, it... More
