This is a small hotel close to China Town. Rooms are compact. Bathroom we had was a wet room which I always find very impractical. No restaurant but we found a lovely café close by for breakfast - Crepe Diem - out of hotel, go right and keep walking to end, about 5 minutes. See review of this café -... More

I love this hotel because the staff are friendly and they do keep it clean, and they go out of their way to oblige. The location is also good and just a few minutes walk from the metro. The decor is slightly rustic by comparison to the glass/ultra modern/marina bay sands type of accommodation. But I actually quite like that,... More

And like all hotels in Chinatown, "little" really means little. First, though, the good news. Naumi Liora is a wonderful, clean and friendly little hotel in a location that makes Singapore seem like one of the most interesting cities in Asia. It has lots of hustle and bustle, the well named "food street" is just two blocks away, transportation is... More

This hotel is in a perfect location for people who want to walk around Singapore. It is only metres away from the fantastic MRT so easy to get to and from the airport as well as any other area of the city. The reception staff are all incredibly friendly and went out of their way to guide us on our... More

We stayed at this property over the weekend. Perhaps our experience would have been different if we had stayed on a weekday. Let's start with the positives. Check-in and out was fast without any complications. In contrast to the other reviews, our room was rather spacious. A quick look at the floor plan and I noticed that only our room... More

I stayed 4 nights in the Naomi Liora while visiting a relative in the city and booked the more expensive Porch Double Room, which was advertised to have its own balcony. In fact it was a small patio, as they are usual in the old Chinese buildings, which was unfortunately directly below a huge tree from the public park behind... More

Dear darktemptation, Thanks for your review. Naumi Liora resides within a restored 1920s Peranakan-styled townhouse and still preserves several of the building's architectural features including its French-styled windows and 'five-foot way'. To this end, the building in itself exudes a heritage charm to its occupants. For the room you are staying in, it offers an added privacy while allowing you... More

Lovely staff very accommodating. Free hot drinks whenever you feel like it. Nice room however very small not a lot of moving space. Cleaning ladies we're very friendly and did good job everyday. Downside being the rooms are all along a corridor and you can hear people outside, the other guests felt like it was important to always slam there... More

We stayed in a Quaint Twin room (#318) and it is, as many others have said, a very small room. There are no windows, just a sloped roof and the room is basically the size of the bed, which were two twin beds placed together. There is a small flat-screen television on the wall and a full-length mirrored door that... More

Our room was windowless. It didn't matter one bit, and they say there was a big rainstorm in the night, yet despite being partly under sloping ceiling, we did not hear a thing. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, and everything is nice and clean. There is no restaurant but this area has many, at very varying prices,... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
