Stayed at Hilton for one night in January for a staycation. It's a old hotel but rooms are still in a good and well maintained condition. For the price that I paid and the location that it's in, I didn't have any complaints. But what upset and disappoint me was that I bought drinks back to the room and the fridge in the room wasn't cold so I asked for a bucket of ice. The reply I got was that I have to order in room dining and only then they will get the bucket of ice to be send together. If not I have to go down to their bar and get my own bucket of ice from the bar. I've stayed at many 5 star hotels in Singapore and this is the first time that I've heard of this. Truly a disappointment and will never stay here again.
Celebrated my birthday here and couldn’t be happier with the service we received; Polished and prompt yet personable. Special mention to Walid who went out of his way to expedite our check-in process and being such a joy to chat with. While the rooms recently underwent a light refresh, there are still unmissable dated elements and finishes. However, rooms were clean which was most importantly. Rooftop pool enjoys exceptional sun for sun worshippers and the large gym sports brand new equipment. Location is perfect too being a short stroll from the heart of Orchard road, but slightly off such that it’s away from the crowds Excited for my next stay!
The check in process was rather efficient, I had nobody infront forming a queue maybe. Beds and pillows were abit soft to my liking. Room was spacious. Nice gesture on the hotel's part, sending messages checking on us after checking in. Dinner service at the Opus was nice, only gripe was a relatively darker corner of the restaurant which I was seated at, but in all it was still cosy.
All staffs were tip-top at their services. Felt amazingly welcome from the time we checked in till checked out. Even have a message to ask about how is the room after we checked in. The dinner at Opus Bar & Grill was fantastic too! :))
Hotel was good even though it is a bit old furnishing Service was excellent. Check in/out process was very smooth. We have been given $30 dining voucher as we booked through trip.com & 2 cheese cake voucher to be redeemed from D9 Cakery- It is really worth! The only thing we can complain was the water pressure for hand shower- abit too low & TV is abit too small. Overall it has been nice experience for our staycation.
