The Fullerton Hotel Singapore stands out for its exemplary service, with guests often highlighting the staff's warmth and professionalism. Its prime location garners praise for proximity to attractions and stunning waterfront views. While some guests find the rooms a bit snug, the cleanliness and amenities, including a luxurious club and extensive breakfast, consistently receive high marks. The hotel's elegant atmosphere, accentuated by live harp music and festive decor, adds to its charm. However, opinions on value are divided, with some questioning the price-quality ratio.

Hotel's Favorite
This has to rate as one of the best hotels we have stayed in around the world! Was everything we expected in a 5* hotel and more with an impressive location and view of the Marina bay in Singapore right next to the Merlion Park. Lots of history in this colonial building so take the time to explore it. Room was large and very comfortable with everything you could need for an extended stay. Bed and linen top rate and we found it so comfortable we wanted to sleep in but needed to explore. Hotel location means you can walk anywhere, but for longer trips metro station within just 5 minutes. Staff very helpful giving lots of advice on where to go and what to see. Restaurant large and well appointed serving delicious buffet breakfast and lunch, didn't try the dinner. As the hotel is also located with the river just behind it, there are lots of restaurants and bars nearby if you don't want to eat in. Ry one of the river cruises if you have time. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Singapore if you want to get the best experience.

This is the second time we were staycationing at the Fullerton Hotel.

We stayed in a suite in August this year, when We dined at the hotel’s excellent Jade restaurant. We enjoyed that stay tremendously.

Aah! But the test of a hotel’s excellence is how the hotel treats the guests of its ordinary rooms.

We booked into the Courtyard room quite late on a Saturday afternoon.

We went out for dinner to return about 8.30 pm, to find hot water coming out of both the cold and hot water taps in the bathroom sink!

Naturally, the hotel reception hardly believed us; hot water from the cold water tap?!; perhaps, we were those troublesome guests agitating for a free upgrade. They send a technician to our room to confirm our plumbing complaints.

We were bumped up to a slightly larger Heritage room, our nightly ablutions and repose hindered temporarily. The staff were very apologetic to have inconvenienced us.

The service was as good as when we staying in the suite during our August staycation. Definitely better than most other hotels.

I would have love to give Fullerton Hotel 5 stars overall. However, small details nudged it down to 4 stars: the plumbing and disposable masks. Masks were freely available for guests in the suite, whereas room guests have to request for them. Aiyoh! How much do disposable masks cost? Why this small but obvious discrepancy between suites and ordinary rooms? The virus doesn’t discriminate between guests.

Overall, it had been a pleasurable stay. We may return for another staycation. I would recommend Fullerton to others. Still ranks well among the hotels I stayed.

I booked afternoon tea at the Fullerton as part of celebrations for my wife’s birthday.

Tea is served in the Courtyard restaurant – a beautiful location inside the hotel.
Tables are laid perfectly with floral decoration and quality china and silverware.

An ornate cake stand is provided laden with tempting savoury and sweet items – tasty creations unique to the Fullerton, we suspect. There is a central buffet laden with further supplies if one is tempted to re-taste some of the more delicious items. This can be more than just an afternoon light tea, if one chooses – the price is the same regardless of how many snacks you try.

A harpist provided gentle entertainment – but it’s worth noting that she plays only until 4.30pm.

A selection of teas are offered – co-incidently I enjoyed the tea called “Happy Birthday” tea as much as a couple of other flavours I tried. My wife, who is not a tea drinker, was offered iced coffee as an alternative.

At the end of themeal- when we had already eaten plentifully – a rish chocolate cake decorated with a candle was brought in for my wife whilst a few staff sang “Happy Birthday”.

All the staff were amazingly kind and friendly as as we lingered almost until closing time we were able to have a most interesting conversation with the lady who ran the restaurant.

An occasion with very happy memories.

The afternoon tea cost SG$ 59 each including taxes and service.

Stayed here in July for 4 nights before flying on to Malaysia for a further week.
The staff were impeccable having arranged a variety of surprises for my wife's birthday.
the location of the hotel is on the river but try to make sure that you book rooms that overlook it as the other side looks out over commercial high rise towers.
It has a small pool, again overlooking the river and is about a 15 to 20 min walk to the Marina Bay Sands and Marina Bay Gardens.
The nearest 'underground' station is a mere 5 mins away and there are numerous restaurants within 5-15 mins walk.
Breakfast is extensive and has something for everyone.
This is a colonial style building which I would highly recommend for value for money as well as location.

We stayed at this classy hotel for just 3 nights as a stopover after a Scenic Mekong River Cruise and Tour and before flying home. We chose the hotel because friends had stayed there previously and recommended it to us. We could not have been happier with our choice as it is such a pivotal location in Singapore and so much part of the history of the island. We attended both of the free hotel-run complimentary tours i.e.The Fullerton Monument Tour and the Maritime Journey Tour. Both were informative and interesting. Thanks to Bill who was excellent as our guide for both tours. For anyone who does not have the time to take the hour-long tours, there is a little museum within the hotel with lots of information about the history of the area.

We booked a Straits Club Postmaster Room with a city view, but when we checked in, we were allocated an upgraded Marina Bay view instead, which was great. We made full use of the Straits Club for our breakfasts, afternoon tea and evening cocktail and canapes. We enjoyed visiting the small intimate area, often bumping again into other guests that we had met there and enjoying excellent attentive service from the staff. Although we paid a higher rate for a room with club access, we found it offered great value for money overall. It also meant that we were able to spend more of our time visiting the many sights of Singapore instead of spending ages choosing restaurants and waiting for meals to be served and paid for!

As well as having a great view, our room was very comfortable with everything we needed, including a beautiful big luxurious bathroom with a separate w.c., large bath tub and separate shower. Drinking water, coffee/tea making facilities etc were all provided. Also had a large, quality bluetooth speaker.

The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas and looked as good from the inside as the outside. Compared to the high rise skyline of hotels around the bay, The Fullerton looks quite small, although it is actually by other standards a big hotel. However, it still stood out as somewhere very special and we would definitely recommend it.

My missus and I stayed recently at this property for 2 nights and we were not disappointed. Our room faced the atrium, was comfortable and well appointed. Pillows are very soft so if you need a firmer one, request it from the pillow menu. Meals at the F&B outlets and room dining at the property were good, especially the burger, and we had the impression that the Western fare was slightly better than the local ones, especially for breakfast. Although on the slightly pricier side, the food quality was acceptable for the price. The only feedback we would give is that the standard of the toiletries in the room could be better especially the hand soaps and it would have been helpful if the concierge desk was better attended. However, during this time of the pandemic, there may be reasons for that. Would recommend this property for a staycation and suggest a go at the lychee bandung national day cake at the cake shop which was delightful. Will definitely return.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Fullerton in Singapore for a x3 day layover in Singapore. I chose the Fullerton because of its iconic status in Singapore, great location and because I believed it would be a luxurious stay for us..
Most of my initial thoughts were correct but I came away thinking the hotel relies too much on its historic name and locale and should focus more on service and upgrading internal decor.

Pros
The architecture and stature of the building especially lit up at night
Buffets were great in the ground floor restaurant. Sunday evening and Monday breakfast - excellent

Cons
We arrived from the airport in the early hours of the morning (I had pre-warned them via email) to find the bellboy asleep and the first room we were assigned had NOT been cleaned.
The replacement room they got us smelt a bit damp and aged. I understand part of the hotel is currently undergoing room refurb.
The aircon in our room was weak and didn’t seem to have any alternate settings.

We chose the Fullerton for our stopover on our way back home after visiting family in the UK. We absolutely loved staying there for many reasons!
* The building is beautiful outside and in, gorgeous flower arrangements and tasteful decorating make it a delight.
* The lovely Anne upgraded us at the front desk to a recently renovated suite and it was marvellous, we overlooked the water and could see all the lights. The room was fantastic, every modern convenience imaginable.
* We ate at Jade on the first night and it was delicious. Penny and Yeemiy looked after us - they were friendly and anticipated our every need. Great recommendations too. We particularly enjoyed the wagu beef.
* We ate at the Town Restaurant the second night and tried the buffet. There was a good selection of traditional food as well as some more western fare. Rey looked after us there, he was engaging and funny.
* I tried my first Singapore Sling on the rooftop bar and the view and the cocktail were fab! The jovial and fun Giri and Albert looked after us there.
* I think it was Mark who serviced our room, we're so thankful for that and just how carefully everything was done. Cables rolled up well, toiletries set out nicely.

We felt like royalty, thank you to the Fullerton and their staff for making this a wonderful stay. I also want to commend them, and others, on how they are handling COVID-19 seriously and measuredly. Staff were well informed, there was hand-sanitiser everywhere available for us and we were encouraged to do so, hand hygiene was encouraged. Temperatures were measured throughout the day and through it all people were calm. We felt very safe and well looked after.

To start off, the welcoming feeling from the hotel was amazing! The receptionist Candy was very nice and accommodating. She gave us an upgrade to a room with the view facing Marina Bay Sands. This was just the beginning.

The room when we entered was very cute, not so much space, but you can feel how comfortable it was. The bathroom was the main attraction really. Shower sets, a big bathtub that can fit 2, and the best part, the automatic toilet seat! This toilet seat came with a remote-controlled bidet, with heated seats! It was like heaven every time you use it! It even has a built in dryer to dry everything! You literally can just sit there and let the seat do all the dirty work.

The bed was super comfortable. Really makes you feel like you want to sleep all day. A lot of amenities provided by the hotel available, you don't really have to go out! (But you have to pay it for sure). And the view we got at room 727 was stunning! With the balcony there provided with chairs and a table was just the perfect date spot, day or night.

The package that we bought on Klook came with a afternoon tea set, evening snack set and breakfast. As a muslim, the hotel did not have any halal verification, but the waiters there do respect us as muslims and offered us meal without any meat or wine consumption. So we managed to still enjoy the whole package as what we purchased and had a blast. The next day, we were surprised by a complimentary anniversary cake by the hotel! A chocolate fudge cake that melts in your mouth is truly satisfying!

Other facilities by the hotel like the swimming pool was fantastic! The edge of the pool was facing the river with an amazing view! The number if people there were controlled by doing early reservations for the timeslots they provided. There was a Gym with a lot of equipment. Mostly of it is there!

Overall, we had blast. Thank you Fullerton Hotel for the experience! Can't wait to head there again soon!
