This is more of a place for back packers and should not be classed as a hotel. On most websites they have lead you to believe that is it the 'Meriton' also has a sign out the front say that... it was clearly not. We booked the 'deluxe suit' (Which it was clearly not) the room was a little bit... More

Except the location of this hotel (little india) everything is disgusting about it. Rooms are like store rooms, size 7x8 feets that includes bathroom as well, where no person can fit. Bathroom is so small you cant even stand inside straight and close the door. Bathroom floor was unable to drain the water. ACs remote is not available in the... More

When I saw the room and the toilet, I was almost shocked. The room was so small and the water stayed on the ground of the toilet. Compared to the price of the room, it was my worst room ever. Plus lots of cockroaches.. There was no sound proof at all and I couldn't sleep at all all night long... More

Ive stayed in budget hotels all over China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and a few in Indonesia, this is by far the worst Ive stayed in. I know hotels in Singapore are expensive and poor value for money it would seem if budget is a concern. However when I booked a "luxury" room at this hotel , I did expect reasonable... More

Although not the cleanest, it was a decent room for the price and in a good location in little india. There's no common room though so only stay there if you're not interested in socializing, though the room was better than any hostel room

This hotel is well placed for Little India, the Bus station and the MRT. The hotel provides room only. The hotel is damp and smells very musty. We had a double ensuite room. I've seen bigger and better bathrooms in a 2 berth caravan....if you weigh more than 10 stone, expect a struggle to get onto the loo! The room... More

We had the same experience as some one below. In the first two days we killed around 20 cockroaches in our room ranging from baby ones to large ones. The cleaner knew this was a problem and actually gave us some spray when he saw us in the corridor with the mini table they seemed to be coming from. The... More

friendly staff but unfortunately I have to agree with the "negative"reviews: bugs still there, smelly room. I got a room on the third floor, not too noisy. No stairs but it's fine with me I think this is due to the old building. Location is good though.

Mt third visit and I was not happy with the cleanliness and the service they offered me. From the front desk to the room was not a very present experience. The bathroom was not clean and the walls were mouldy.

Staying in Little India

Neighborhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly colored saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colorful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Center, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colorful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
