I have the opportunity to travel to Singapore quite often and like to stay in different hotels in different areas for the experience. This time I chose Santa Grand Hotel Lai Chun Yuen. A Big Mistake. A little expensive but well location, nice clerks. Cleanliness was very poor. The air conditionned was directly to our face, too strong. Hostesses did not know everything about the city, tips for tourists.

Will consider to stay here again for my next visit. So convenience, near MRT. Good location , easy to find many good food around the hotel. Reasonable room cost , but a bit noisy from outside. It may not suitable for person who seek for the peaceful!! Overall is acceptable in my view. Recommend

Very cute hotel. Grand history and decor. Fantastic location. Tiny room with no windows but great amenities in the room. Great for a short visit. Chinatown outside the door and close to MRT. Would definitely stay again. Good value for money.

Very good service staff Comfortable rooms But there is a lot of dust in the bedroom should be a very good location next to the food street around midnight, but during the day there will be loud music. But it does not interfere with the rest much. Fair Clean bathroom, good water flow.

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night. The hotel is located in the heart of china town. The beauty of this was the location - close to restaurants, shops and public transport, BUT I didnt like the hotel due to outside noises which made it difficult to sleep and their customer service. The first room I stayed at was...

This is the 3rd time I've stayed at this hotel. The location is great, and as I've said before, the rooms are really small. However, for the location and the price, it's a good value for Singapore, since you probably wouldn't spend much time in the room anyway. As the title says, "choose the right location for your room." My...

Great location and close to many tourist places, close to MRT station only. Room is small like other hotel in Singapore, although I got king size bed. Staying close to Market street side was just having a nightmare with noise, especially Karaoke opposite of the hotel. They sing until 1.45am. Bathroom is smelly, coming from the drain all time. Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
