There is a strong smell in the room. The furniture is falling apart and very worn. I wouldn't even sit on it. There are stains on the sheets. I stay in hotels almost every week and this is the worst I've gotten in years. They really have to get some new furniture, sheets, and figure out the smell. That's as... More

Very well maintained and cosy. Located in Arab street closed to the centre. Room that we booked was very small but it was booked in last minute so most probably they had better rooms. Prices are affordable too. Breakfast is typically Chinese style.it was a nice stay

Had a great stay at the Sultan. I liked: - staff was very helpful, both the girls at reception were extremely helpful - room, was clean, spacious and comfortable - breakfast was good, you have ask for boiled/fried eggs. they don't mention it, but I heard someone ask, therefore figured that they do them separately. location, very convenient, 12minutes walk... Room had a sour smell like you could smell the people who last stayed here , poor air quality ventilation the air con made loud noise but unable to cool the tiny room felt stuffy, worst is the lights... So, it's nearly 2am and to get to my hotel room I had to literally walk through a waft of sickly cigarette smoke from patrons of the attached club; to then discover my room backs directly on to the roof terrace, and the pumping drum beat of the club is far from ending anytime soon!

Booked a room at The Sultan for one night stay. Chose Attic Room. The room is spacious and the bed, pillows etc. were good and very comfortable. The breakfast was simple and the staff served us during breakfast was very friendly and helpful. Would love to come back again and book the other rooms.

The stay was great, night life was vibrant, decos are great. Pros: - Location - Value for money - Foodie-friendly Cons: - Sound proof is not as ideal. - Flooring was somewhat too hollow, could hear echos when getting across the rooms. Overall, it fits for a great staycation. cheers~

The room with king size bed was very small, cannot do anything besides activities on the bed. However the bed, pillows were good and the accessories like iron, dryer, and coffeemaker also complete. Your room could be in different building, so maybe you will go through rain, and some outdoor place was not smells good. You can hear noise of... More

Rich architecture and heritage place especially Muslim culture where the oldest mosque is located. The rooms are spread apart. spacious and could be noisy if activities next to Main road were still on during weekend. Like the coffee capsule machine and free mini bar in the room. The breakfast was simple but serving nice dim sum. Comfortable short stay.
