We went there for few days during the F1 weekend and we were surprised of the nice ambiance and staff running the place. The hostel is ok and compared to other in the city, it's even very clean. Breakfast is very basic, rooms and average shape of the place is ok. If you go on a budget it's a good... More

Great location in the Arab quarter, only a few minutes from Bugis MRT. I stayed in a 10 bed dorm, everything was clean. Great value for money (free breakfast), the staff was very helpful and friendly!

Me and my brother stayed 1 night at Five Stones. I would usually pick a female dorm but since I have my brother with me, I picked at mixed dorm to save money. I was attracted by the layout of the beds and overall design and ambience, and decided to give them a try. We paid about RM53 per bed... More

Okay, so this is my first time to stay in a hostel. I'd like to know how it feel if I would someday travel on my own, so I was accompanied with my parents. The hostel is actually great! I choose the mixed 6-person that has window, got the upper bunk to sleep, and it was located at the fourth... More

One of the nicest hostel that i have been to. From Front Desk Officers to Washroom, a great value for money. Also location is superb. The free breakfast as well hits the spot, simple yet very filling.

The rooms very very comfy, safe and clean. The atmosphere was very modern but had the comfort of my own home. The staffs were AMAZING! They knew Singapore really well and will direct you in the right direction whether you are looking for good local food, sightseeing spots, fruits. They interacted with all the guests and were super duper friendly. First off, what a welcoming and modern hostel this place is and the reviews reflect it. I feel slightly remorseful for not giving it the full 5 stars. But, I'll get to that later. Good points: - Welcoming and friendly staff -Clean bedding with locker -Strong wifi on all floors including reception -Lovely area -Fantastic location with regards to MRT... More

Staying in Kampong Glam

Neighborhood Profile
Kampong Glam
This traditionally Malay enclave of Singapore offers an alluring array of shops, cafes, and bars. A walk down Haji Lane offers quirky shopping, while one block over, Arab Street is a treasure trove of brightly colored fabrics, clothing, and Turkish rugs. Stop for a leisurely coffee or cocktail and watch local kids play traditional games along the lane. Also home to the Malay Heritage Center and one of Singapore’s most prominent mosques (Sultan Mosque), Kampong Glam is a must-visit for a tantalizing taste of Malay life in this city.

Singapore's best and friendliest hostel! With each of our rooms featuring interesting designs, Five Stones Hostel gives Singapore cultural elements a refreshing new lease of life.
