This is a cool place to stay! The two rooms we had were on different levels. The Pantone level had a different coloured room with the door indicating which colour your room was. We had the grey room with a lit neon sign above the bed. The next level up we had the origami room where the white room can... More

We arrived at the hotel at 7am and weren't expecting to get into our rooms till 2pm. The staff were very accommodating and were able to give us one room early. My wife's parents, who were travelling with us, had booked a panatone room (307). This room was a funky room and quite spacious however if you were staying for... More

It's a place where you probably stay once and then won't visit again. Carpet floors are musky and smelly. Think they need to refurbish the carpets or do something it as once you step out from the room, it's really smelly. The location is great though but a lot of the amenities are not working like the jacuzzi, since there... More

I stayed in this hotel for 3 days and 2 night and booked the hotel through SPG. I was expecting a standard and typical Starwood hotel - however I think that this hotel is more like a high-end backpackers hotel. The location is very close to Mustafa - good if you want to shop there and there are some good... More

Stayed in this wee gem in the middle of Little India whilst passing through Singapore for a night. Whilst I wouldn't score this 5/5, it served our needs very well for the following reasons: - fun location for exploring little India/Arab St - close to lots of restaurants and eateries for when we arrived late at night - very helpful... In short, Wanderlust is a disgrace to the SPG brand. It's understandable that sometimes an issue arises during a hotel stay, controllable or uncontrollable by the hotel staff. But when all the possible issues you can think of occur during the duration of one stay, now that's unheard of. The room was so small we had no place for our... More

It's really surprising to see the range of review for hotel as we had a great experience. For those who say about the lack of amenities it's clear that they're not stated on the hotel description so you can't expect them to be there. We stayed in a mono double which had lots of space, including a very large comfortable... More

My experience is same as a number of other reviews. It's more of a love hotel rather than a hotel hotel. It's fun if you are a young couple and just want to roll in bed, have a bath, eat and then roll in bed again. We stayed in two types of rooms the space loft and the origami. As... More

The room was not only very nicely decorated but it was also very innovative. Furthermore it was clean, the food was fantastic and the service really nice. Extra plus: you get a local phone with map etc. to take with you.

Staying in Little India

Neighborhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly colored saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colorful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Center, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colorful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Wanderlust in Little India draws madcap, curious voyagers to the old ethnic enclave. Made for guests with a sense of adventure, we invite you to walk the unconventional path where a radical hotel experience awaits. Its history began in the 1920s as the Hong Wen School, where the building at No 2 Dickson Road still retains its old-world charm with an unchanged façade. Situated 10 minutes from the cosmopolitan stretches of Orchard Road and the Central Business District; Wanderlust also offers door step access to a bustling, colourful street life. The four storey boutique hotel has 29 rooms. Just as no 2 rooms are identical, the same can be said for each floor in the hotel. It features the groundbreaking works of award-winning Singapore design agencies. Each agency was given full creative freedom to design an entire level in the hotel, resulting in four, different ‘in-your-face’ themes – ‘Industrial Glam’, ‘Eccentricity’, ‘Is It Just Black and White?‘ and ’Creature Comforts.’ ... more   less
