I booked 3 rooms for friends from Canada, Australia, and Malaysia who visited during the Christmas holidays. All of them were impressed by the hotel's charm as it is a stylishly decorated and renovated old building located in a trendy part of Singapore (Club Street and Chinatown which is walking distance from other points of interests). The rooms were very...

I had an excellent time staying at The Club. Although the hotel is not super close to an MRT station, but it takes only about 7 minutes on foot from the Telok Ayer MRT (alternately, you can go through the Ann Siang Hill Park, which leads you to Amoy Street, and can save yourself 2 minutes). However, if you are...

We had the pleasure of 5 nights at The Club. From the moment we arrived the welcoming staff could do enough for us, & genuinely wanted to make our stay an experience. The rooms are of a good size & the bathroom well appointed. The provision of a complimentary "smart phone" to assist in getting around Singapore was something we...

This is a first for me,I feel really comfortable writing a review on the first night of our stay. What a fantastic place! A great location on the edge of Chinatown. A rooftop bar, lobby bar and a Whisky bar in the basement! Right in the centre of the bar scene, so don't expect noise free. The staff have been...

Quick late check-in, helpful and courteous staff. Location is great. I was certainly impress by the design of the hotel. Very clean and elegant room, free mini-bar and a free mobile phone usage while in Singapore. Nice restaurant and bar. Breakfast is good. No complaints.

Stayed here before boarding a cruise ship. Great location for restaurants and night life. Rooftop bars (five) are a nice way to spend the late evening. Hotel is vey clean and the staff are very helpful. Breakfast was a nice surprise with English Style breakfast included in the price and the service was very good. I will certainly stay here...

We picked the club due to its location and it was great. Do however, expect loud music during the weekends. The hotel does provide ear plug which could be handy. Staff though was not consistent in their level of service. Do also check the menu of the room service as our has not yet been updated.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
