Rooms are very small. No additional facilities like complimentary breakfast etc. But the lady in reception was helpful. Overall average rating for this hotel. I will not prefer to stay here again. Thank you.

This is my second stay in Santa Grand. Location is great (near to Mustafa and Little India LRT). Rooms are small but well maintained, service is prompt, reception staff are helpful. Housekeeping is good. Both the rooms I stayed has windows but don't expect any views. Wifi is good. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are many... More

Let me get straight to the point. Plus points 1) Its a good location and the price is decent. 2) All amenities nearby (Restaurants, bus stop, LRT, etc.) 3) The female staff are very helpful and not like the male staff (That's the reason for very good and not excellent) 4) Some rooms are little bigger than the others. If you want to experience how it feels to be stuffed in a box, stay at Santa Grand, Little India. The rooms have barely enough space to keep your luggage. If you have 2 big bags, you can't walk in the room. Don't expect any kind of view from the windows. All of this would be fine if it was... More

My family and I stayed there for 4 days. We booked 2 deluxe rooms which are nowhere close to even be rooms. They are so small that you feel trapped inside a box. No space to keep the luggage bags. There were ants like insects all over the room and bathroom and they won't go even after the housekeeping cleaned... More

No room boy to carry luggage to the room, thereby affecting the guests, particularly elderly and senior citizens. No lock in the bathroom. Hardly 5 to 6 channels were on tv,. No indian channels, particularly south indian channels. Very stiff and stubborn about early check in payments. Effect of AC is very pathetic. Takes hours to cool. Silver lining is... More

Visited with parents for 3 days. The rooms were well maintained though a little small. That is to be expected in a place like Singapore. The staff were very efficient and Ms. Jane Pang was extremely helpful. Will certainly consider staying there whenever I revisit Singapore.

Room is very small and the service and provisions are normal. Response is very good. The hotel location is very near all amenities and easy to shopping until any time. The hotel room aircon and water heater working very nice and the hair dryer only has spoiled.

Staying in Little India

Neighborhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly colored saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colorful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Center, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colorful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Conveniently located at the junction of Serangoon and Veerasamy Road, the Santa Grand Hotel Little India is surrounded by places of interest such as Arab Street, Little India Arcade and a Sikh temple, not to mention the well known shopping haven Mustafa Centre and the sights, smells and sounds of Little India. Offers an intimate boutique setting, rich, distinctive floral motif and ethnic design, this hotel was converted from a five-storey 1950s building. It offers all the convenience of a modern hotel with fantastic guest services. Critically located in the heart of Singapore's Indian Cultural enclave, the hotel will provide marketing opportunities for mostly visitors who wish to experience a holiday with an Indian culture or festival, key of which will be Deepavali and Thaipusam. It would also be a big attraction for the more up-market visitors who are in town for business or for sourcing of luxury goods. The IT mecca of Sim Lim is a second major draw for Little India. With this internationally known IT mall on our doorstep, many visitors will select Little India specifically to take advantage of the fantastic selection of IT products and accessories that are on offered. ... more   less
