Welcome to Duxton Reserve - Echoes of 19th century elegance reimagined in the historic heart of Singapore. Duxton Reserve is perfectly situated in the island city-state’s central district and the eclectic heart of Tanjong Pagar where business, socializing, dining and nightlife take center stage. Duxton Reserve unites a row of heritage shophouses that have been restored under the gifted hand of acclaimed British designer, Anouska Hempel. The original design of this Urban Redevelopment Authority Architectural Heritage Awarded building features a diverse mix of Chinese, Malay and European elements. Guests are in for an eccentric elegant surprise as they enter the hotel that features large golden fans and strong hues of black, gold and yellow, layered with Oriental screens and calligraphy wallpaper from Anouska’s personal collection. My wife and I snuck away from the kids for a staycation over Chinese New Year. The hotel experience was fantastic, and the location really can't be beat -- there's just so many great things to do in the Duxton Hill area! The room was bigger than I expected -- I expected a NYC or HK style "city room" that was more like a closet, but it was relatively spacious given the central location, and the dark wood, nice fittings, and satisfying bedding made for a luxurious feeling even in the "cheapest" room type. The drinks and breakfast downstairs were fantastic! Small bites and fantastic cocktails kicked off our night out exploring the area, and we were very happy to have a delightful breakfast in the morning, with a solid mix of both Asian and Western options. Would definitely stay here again for both a romantic getaway and for a business trip where I wanted some style and fun instead of a stuffy Marriott.

We enjoyed a wonderful staycation here for two nights. The hotel is beautifully designed and the opium suite where we stayed is stylish and unique. The food at Yellow Pot and the drinks at Anouska's are delicious. Special thanks to Dahlia who welcomed us very warmly & graciously and Ivan at Yellow Pot who also stood out.Thank you for an amazing holiday, we hope to be back soon!

Staff working very hard in trying to ensure a good stay for the guests. Stayed 3 nights at the duplex suite after utilizing Marriott upgrade vouchers. The room was the highlight of the entire trip. Very nicely decorated interior with spiral stairs that is unique and second to no other hotels out there. Bed wasn’t the most comfortable compared to the other bigger Marriott chains hence did not have the most restful sleep here. Breakfast was decent , good variety despite choices being watered down due to covid. The bread basket was my favorite / followed by the crab omelette . Ginseng chicken Porridge a little too bland , the usual eggs are the standard . Parking is a problem if you drive, especially on weekends . Hotel should work on doing something for their guests with the authorities to solve the issue . Facilities were not existent but plenty of good restaurants / bars around the area to hang and chill .

Location: Nested in heart of cbd with amenities all around the corner Price: Decent Room: Intriguing. Get the duplex suite, you wont regret Bonvoy benefits: Platinum drinks were great. Order the Kaifeng cocktail and mocktail, you wont go wrong. Bfast was a weltered down offering as mains could not be ordered. There were some complexities with the tv and bedding. Front desk staff were friendly. Yellow pot staff server (wearing glasses) was friendly and helpful when serving the various food items

Anouska’s Staycation: 1-Night Stay in a Duplex Suite Room with Breakfast, Amuse Bouche Platters & Signature Cocktail, during COVID-19. The interior design is beautifully done and lives up to the reputation of the renowned Anouska Hampel's work. We love the ambience and the drinks at the Anouska bar. The Amuse Bouche platter was pretty good and we ordered two more dishes (egg plant and Vermicelli) from the Yellow Pot but it was a bit too much for two of us. The Duplex Suite room was interestingly designed with a spiral staircase. Be careful not too bump your head on the steps. There are some slight bumps on the corridor floor which may pose tripping hazard. This is understandable as it is a conservation property. Perhaps some markings may help. Overall the stay was good with interesting gentrified areas to explore nearby. If I am a business traveller, I would stay here, in lieu of boring big chain business hotels.
