Recently stayed at the Sofitel with my family and had a great stay. The team there really tries to reduce the impact of the pandemic on its guests. Food was very good, pools great and nice spacious grounds. Only 'knock' was that our room had a separate lounge area, but it did not have a window. Bit of a bunker.

Hotel's Favorite
Booked a weekend birthday stycation, first hotel booking since the circuit breaker lockdown period began. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend a visit to give that relaxing holiday feel while still at home in Singapore. The food quality and choices (Cliff restaurant dinner, Kwee Zeen breakfast and room service) exceeded my expectations and I would return to visit Sofitel Sentosa again just for dinner. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful but a few really stood out and need specific mention. I originally had made a mistake in booking the room booking and could not use my Accor All platnium upgrade benefit. Naturally I was a bit upset but the front desk staff was really kind, helpful, made me feel weclome and went out of their do what they could to make sure my stay was a memorable one. I think the hospitality and professionalism of front desk staff exceeded my expectations even for a prestigious brand such as Sofitel. Samantha and Farah are exceptional employees who go above and beyond the call of duty that Accor should be proud to have as a member of their team. I also need to mention a member of the pool staff, Sarah, who despite being extremely overwhemed and understaffed at the poolside this holiday weekend rush, he was constanly running back and forth fullfilling orders and despite some delays he was able to accomodate all of the guests. I never saw him idle for a minute during the two hours i visited the pool. All in all, this was a 5 star visit for Sofitel Sentosa Resort and has exceeded my expectations despite all of the recent changes and regulations needed in these stressful times. If you're thinking of a weekend staycation getaway book a room at the Sofitel Sentosa Resort and be a part of the restoration of the great travel and hospitality industry here in Singapore.

Family and I decided to take a break and stay at Sofitel Sentosa for 5 nights. We usually go overseas during this time of year but this time round no way to get to anywhere. We chose this hotel because its near the beach, a wooden stairway down a sloping cliff will bring you down to a small road that runs parallel to the beach. And the resort compound spans quite a large area and thus gives you a resort feel. I think the General Manager Mr Piotr Kupiec and his staff should be commended for the effort they have put into to run a resort with so much restrictions during this difficult time. To make the guests safe and at the same time to make them feel not so restricted as to spoil their holidays. It is indeed hard work and much more effort has to be put in as compared to say normal circumstances without the covid restrictions. Right from the start, with Vinnie Lee from Reservation , right down to the staff at the Cliff restaurant, we were made very welcomed. Although we have to wait for a little while longer sometimes for a request to be executed, I think if we managed our expectations, everything seems to be alright. I think the word to use is compassion. We should not expect any hotels to run as if they are operating in normal times under the backdrop of a pandemic. We are still in the middle of one. But seeing how this hotel operates, from the non-buffet breakfast ( it takes more effort and more staff to serve individual breakfast than a buffet), the scheduled dining time for guests, the relentless effort to make sure the guests get their food without much delay, to supervise consistently making sure there is social distancing, ..etc, it's really not easy. And I can see that some of the staff works really hard to achieve the standard that this resort is reputed for. So I take this opportunity to say Thank You to Piotr, always moving around to make sure everything is in order, Reception staff Liz, Sarah and Penny, Glenn from Kwee Sin, Scarlet, Julienne, Natalia, Roy and Jason from The Cliff, you guys have made our short break relaxing and pleasant. Keep up the great effort .

We (4 of us) stayed for 3 days. We had the beef goulash, rib eye, pork chop, pizzas(meat lovers and the truffle), lamb chops and other stuff. The flavours were good but it was extremely salty. Also, the seats were not cleaned and some of us had our shorts stained on 2 different occasions. Finally, the spa did not confirm our booking (even though we booked 2 months in advance) and it was a headache to convince them to confirm it again. However, the waiters are attentive and the staff are extremely friendly. The rest of the hotel is clean and the peacocks and peahens are really beautiful (just be careful not to leave food unattended).

My girlfriend and I spent two days staycationing here this week. While the hotel facilities, pool and room are all really nice the service in the bar and restaurants is sub standard. Half of the bars are running without stock. For example on settling in at the pool we tried to order a bottle of Rosé... only to be told there was none. The draught Kirin was also out, and they weren't able to do a Bloody Mary. Not what you expect on a staycation given the price. In the restaurant it takes an internity to get a waiter to serve you and they know little about the menu. I don't blame the staff necessarily but the poor management, particularly in F&B where its clear training is severely lacking. It could be great but sadly for me its a 3 star service charging 5 star prices.
