Loved the entire vibe of the hotel. The view and the pool was amazing. The sunset was absolutely beautiful. Choose the higher floors though or else you will end up blocked by the garden trees (we booked two rooms and the second one was on the lower floor and the view was just trees). Amazing service from the staff. The rooms does feel a bit dated but the overall environment and views more than make up for it.
We totally enjoyed our 3D2N stay. We can feel that every department made an effort to let us feel pampered during our stay. Kudos to the management to made this possible. Special thanks to the following staff : Check in - Daniael went the extra mile to arrange a room based on our needs Fun team - Fiona helped us a lot as we were first timers. Offering the beach equipment for free is really a good initiative to compensate the removal of the pool activities. Check out - Shawn offered (without my request) and ran upstairs to my room to take a card on in the “activation slot”. Conceige- Prakash and team was very efficient to pick up my stuff in the fridge so we don’t need to wait for too long before we head home.
We decided to return to Rasa Sentosa to celebrate the hubby’s birthday after a fabulous stay last year. We had a pool view room with fantastic views and the room was squeaky clean without a speck of dust. Fast forward to present day, we entered our assigned room anticipating the same “wow” but were left disappointed from the moment we stepped in. Our pool view room is in fact a tree view room and the balcony was littered with leaves. Not sure what I did wrong as I thought I did everything right - made a direct booking via Shangri-La and not through 3rd party sites and completed mobile check in as soon as I was able to. I even remarked that this stay is a birthday celebration during booking. Sad to say, I believe we will not be returning after this stay. Thanks to Allison for trying to make it right. They charge for everything! I wanted to arrange for amenities in the room for a special occasion (anniversary) and they wanted to charge me $30 for a box of chocolate and macarons when I'm spending a bomb on the room? The room and hotel are rundown and old, definitely long overdue for a renovation. The staff are not as friendly and very inconsistent service. Disappointing.
To celebrate my sons 12 year birthday, we booked 2 nights Rasa Family Fun package stay directly on Shangri-la website which includes sumptuous brekkie and seafood buffet. The room and view was stunning with great amenities in the hotel. Service over all was TOP Notch! Smooth and fast check in at the front desk despite the weekend. Water sports activities - Kayak, etc was open complimentary to Hotel guest. A Big compliment to Front Desk Shawn Tan and Dining staff Nicholas for going all out and surprising my son with Chocolates and Ice cream. Thank you from the bottom of our heart! Overall it was an awesome staycation and ... the food was awesome! Keep up the wonderful service ! Thank you!
Excellent customer service and great choice for families with young children as there are enough activities in the resort such that you do not need to step out if you do not wish to. Kids-friendly as the activities are suitable for kids of all ages including toddlers 👍🏻👍🏻 the private beach area is also very well-kept and clean. Also very impressed with the housekeeping team. They always managed to get back with our requests within 10 mins although I’m pretty sure the hotel is operating at full cap. Love the food offered at the hotel as well. Good spread and variety for the breakfast buffet although there were some hits (pastries are awesome!) and misses (dim sum, eggs station). Loved that they even set up a kids zone in the restaurant so that kids can help themselves to the food and make their own choices. My son loves it. They also have staff stationed outside the restaurant during breakfast hours to offer treats to children. The only gripe I have about the hotel is the dated rooms. Although reasonably well-maintained, it is very old and the amenities are dated. Water pressure and temperature from the shower is also not consistent. Toiletries certainly do not feel premium as stated; it feels more like those offered at budget chain hotels. I would expect more from shangrila. Overall, very comfortable stay with the lush greenery surrounding. Only wished the rooms can be more modern given the steep pricing.…
Got a room with a sofa bed for a young child, hotel could even provide guard rails (x2) for the sofa bed! This is a great hotel for kids who will enjoy the pool, splash zones, beach, water activities and indoor play rooms (including one for art and craft). We had to wait 2 hours for our room to be ready, so we got our swim gear out and headed to the pool. Pool/beachside menu got boring after a couple of meals. Toilet by the pool could do with better facilities - doors/locks that didn't work properly, no soap at wash basin. We'll be back for the beach/pool, hope the toilets improve!
The resort is one of the best in Sentosa, especially for family travelers, and has a private beach and a lot of activities for young and older children. The food is great, service can be improved. You can walk to other attractions in Sentosa. The hotel is starting to show age.
1. the hotel is same as what it was many many years back - a lot of items missing like toilet near the pool NO amenities except shower gel / shampoo / conditioner - no comb no towels etc.. 2. on another note there are NO guards or toilet janitors > fathers are bringing in young daughters to the Men's shower room whereas men are all naked showering OR changing their clothes which is absurd 3. people and kids will be bored of the same same buffet everyday - breakfast lunch or dinner in the silver cafe is same for 1 week according to the people who had stayed in the hotel for 7 days 4. the rooms are good and has a nice view of the sea however the amenities are very limited - have to keep on calloing housekeeping to add on toilet amenities 5. check in time was 3pm arrived hotel at 4pm waited until 6pm to get a room, but when checking out the staff were stiff saying their hotel is fully booked and cannot extend even 2 hours after 12 noon - sorry to say but very uncooperative especially when one is with small infants and children in the rooms. 6. will try other hotels in Sentosa next weekend…
This hotel is very popular and fully booked I tried to book best room with great view in Jan 2022 ( fully booked), Feb 2022( fully booked) , March 2022 ( only room with no sea view and suite room - not worth it for 1 night stay), April 2022( oh, my fav room is available. , thus I booked this room). Waiting patiently till April 2022 .. 1 week before check in, i was prompted to book breakfast slot and swimming pool slot. 3 days later, i was prompt to my enter particulars and my credit card details for hotel to collect payment $600 room + $600 room deposit! ( remaining balance will be refunded to ur credit card after paying F&B and room) Earlier on check in day, they send msg detailing your room number, [ top floor] very efficent! I took Bus A from Beach Station , then to this hotel. The hotel lobby - non air conditioned. I waited for my turn . After some time, i was attended by recep. I was told that i would be given chocolate gift I walked to the room. Opened the door. Seen the room , love the view. Order fruit platter and decaf coffee 40 mins later food came One teapot of coffee and large serving of fruits! I sat by , eat fruit, admire beach view and sea view and also see change in weather , sunny, rainy , then sunny.. At 5.30 pm , went to swimming pool, Like this pool, with lifeguards , bar, Adjoining beach, parks, even adult only quiet space . . At 6pm, after few laps ,order dinner- satay and signature cocktail. ( cocktail come in big glass , with 3 slice of fruits ) Went back to room .. Next day, went to gym for workout. One need to go to ask counter at level 5 first , then one is given access pass Gym is spacious but some equipments cannot be used due to restrictions Went to Silver Shell Cafe for breakfast Restaurant is spacious. And service crews are helpful. There are many buffet stations ,and guests specific what they want and cooks/ service crews put items on plate and guests carry plates and cups to their tables themselves Back to room after breakfast. Spent some time on laptop and ocassionally look out to window to admire beach and sea.. Check out was effortless. Taking Sentosa Bus A to RWS shopping mall ,then to mainland Singapore…
