Right after i booked in asia travel for my boracay get away, i thought of reviewing the villa de oro, which i should have done prior. But anyways, most of the feedback were poor and somehow disappointed me before i even arrived there. After the series of reading, i didn't expect too much anymore. When we got there, i thought...

I don't know why they called it a resort, I don't even know what to call it. Black mold in the bathroom shower head almost facing the toilet and not even a curtain in between. Beds with no blankets and musty room. Had to dragged luggage on sand about 100ft through construction work and constant roosters making all kinds of...

I got into Boracay late and was too tired to look around so checked in here. I was jetlagged and needed a good rest, so went to bed after drinking a cold beer. In the morning, at around 7am, I was awoken by inconsiderate builders. I thought the noise would stop but it didn't. Like other reviewers have noted, it...

The room smelled musty and moldy so we had to keep the AC on to minimize the smell... but there was no blanket... or even a flat sheet... just a fitted sheet and a decorative piece of cloth... we had to sleep in sweats and socks (which were thin because we were visiting a hot humid climate and were not...

I checked into this place today and will check out promptly tomorrow. Why? Well, tonight I was really tired and wanted to sleep but there was the sound of banging and an electric saw going off until 10pm. In order to deal with my anger, I went out to walk on the beach. When I came back it was still...

I stayed at this place years ago and I remember it being better. Biggest problem is the noise. If you want restful days and nights, do not stay here. The resort itself is building new bungalows and there is a huge hotel with 6 floors going up next door. Construction going on all hours. Dust in the air. There should...

Dirty rooms, cold showers, no shower curtains, no shampoo, towels have to be requested, Standard definition TV, queen bed is just two regular beds put together (so don't spread out, it's bumpy), wifi is a joke, dirty, rusty, smelly, has ants, no phone, no clock, no lockbox (even though they tell you to use one as they are not responsible...

Two stars for the very good location & affordable room rates. Unfortunately, this resort fail in many other areas. I've listed a few negatives below, hoping that it will help other tourists or motivate the owner/managers improve their business. 1. Lofts: the lofts are dated, dusty & not totally clean. The bathroom floor is always wet, water doesn't drain really...

Don't get the villa were they stack their wind breakers coz they will wake you up at night and early in the morning when they are moving them around. Plus current renovations made it impossible for us to have a good sleep in. Not to mention Inconsiderate tradies ( carpenters) who would start their noisy hammerings at 7am!. And noise...

The room smelled musty like an old cabinet. The ceiling looked like it was infested with termites or something. Walls were with molds. It was a good thing we checked in very late in the evening and checked out the next day as soon as there was a room available at La Carmela.
