We visited Puerto Princesa exactly a year ago and stayed on this beautiful place. We cannot fault anything on this place, the staff were very helpful and hospitable they go above and beyond to help. The place is very clean and the room that we stayed in for a week was well furnished and very spacious. Stayed on this place with my husband and two teenage children, the boy particularly is very hard to pleased but all I heard from him was praises to this place. According to them this place is underrated, they haven’t been to any place with such friendly staff. The breakfast is simple but my boy said it was insanely good. And to top it up, the owner was very accommodating and advised us where’s the best places to buy pasalubong. If we plan to go back to Palawan, we would definitely choose to stay in Paboreal again.

Stayed one week at Paboreal. Found it impossible to fault any aspect of the stay. All staff are very proffesional and go above and beyond to help in any way. The hotel is impressively well maintained and spotlessly clean. Food is of a high standard and reasonably priced. Rooms are very spacious and well furnished with very comfortable beds and each having a large private balcony. Lovely clean swimming pool and sunbathing area. This hotel comfortably meets any European standard of a 4 star hotel at a price which is very very reasonable. I wouldnt hesitate to stay here whenever lm in Puerto Princesa.

Pros: - Very polite, charming and helpful staff - Safe environment, great security - Perfect shower, towels, room layout - Unbelievable pillows, mattress, duvet Cons: - Location. Although, staff were quick to provide transport! - Location had air pollution, burning leaves nearby, dangerous air quality for asthma suffers, although NOT the fault of the hotel, this is a problem all over Puerto Princessa it seems, and the staff even managed to get nearby locals to stop burning leaves specially for me, which shows how much they cared. five star!

The Paboreal Boutique Hotel had by far the best room and hosts of our entire Phillipines trip. The rooms were clean, modern and you can tell alot of detail went into the design, the shower room was also top notch! The staff were friendly and very accommodating and helped organise our trip around Honda bay aswell as transfers to the airport. Would highly reccomend if you decided to visit the beautiful island of Palawan.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 2 nights to do the underground river tour and to be close to the airport for our flight back up to Manila and we couldn't have had a nicer stay. Enrico, the owner, will do anything to make your stay as perfect as possible. The hotel is small but secure, quiet and clean. The rooms are spacious with a huge comfy bed and clean bathroom and porch area. The hotel serves a delicious breakfast every morning and arranges all tricycles to local restaurants or the airport, and any tours for you that you need. There is a lovely pool we didn't get the chance to use but the setting of the hotel is very private and quiet, perfect for families or couples. Enrico came over to us several times to check we were enjoying our stay and one evening when we were tired and looking for some quick food at 8.50pm (the kitchen closes at 9pm), he personally went into the kitchen to make us Ham and cheese toasties and chips! All of the staff are so polite and want to make your stay as special as possible, we could not recommend this hotel enough. Thank you to Enrico and the team for all of your help throughout our stay!

The reviews were right! This place is a small hidden gem “off the beaten path” that is definitely a good choice. Most everything is very simple, which I greatly prefer, and the owner and his staff were amazing to deal with! I would say that the staff here makes the whole experience worth it, and it’s the kind of treatment you simply don’t (and won’t) get at larger establishments. The rooms are comfortable, soundproof, and spacious. Be aware: you are not within walking distance of anything, but the nice thing is that the hotel will call you a local cab (tricycle) at a very reasonable price (100 pesos, or $2 US). So I would definitely stay here again and would encourage anyone else to do the same.

At first glance, this hotel is very unassuming. The trike takes you down a small dirt road to an open-air lobby and pool. It is clean, and well maintained, but not a resort. However, what it lacks in obvious glamour, it drastically makes up for it in customer service. The owner and the staff make you feel right at home and can help you with whatever you need: booking a car, booking a ride to the airport, renting a moped, even securing a basketball. Whenever I needed something, everyone did their best to accommodate and to help me find the answer. If I ever am in Puerto again, I would definitely stay here!

I had high hopes when I flew into Puerto Princesa last Aug. 2 because I was booked into the Paboreal Boutique Hotel rated Excellent by Trip Advisor. But when we turned into a dirt and deserted road, I thought, "Oh, oh," this does not look good. Things got worse when I went into my room and saw untiled floors. At first encounter, Paboreal is a mess. There is no sign of it being a boutique and I thought it could be anything but Excellent. When I simmered down and looked around, I realized it does merit the title. It also made me realize that there are things worth commending than shiny floors, and beautiful front desk girls, or a stately concierge. Paboreal has none of those. But it has a lot to make up for these shortcomings. For one, Paboreal is located far away from the maddening crowd and noise. It is so peaceful, quiet and serene, it brings you closer to your soul. It makes you find yourself. It is surrounded by lush greenery, the early-morning stillness broken only by the beautiful bird songs. The hotel's staff are ordinary people with extraordinary kindness, politeness and sincere desire to serve its guests. They make you feel at home even if you are away from home. The hotel exudes the warm friendliness of the owner, Enrico Coco, a French/Italian expatriate. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and resorts in my life - big and small, high end and low end, but they never made me feel sad upon leaving. Paboreal Boutique Hotel has a certain aura that cannot be found in others. And this makes up for all the little "eyesores," that I saw when I checked in. I checked in with a heavy heart, I checked out sad that I am leaving.

We stayed here for a night before flying back to Manila. We were very happy with the room- it had fast wifi, was very spacious, split system AC (quiet and clean air). Very large balcony with a pretty view. About 5 to 10 minutes drive from the hustle and bustle of Puerto Princesa and only 150 pesos to the airport for a tricycle (or 300 pesos for a car ride). It is very close to the Princesa Garden Resort so we actually took a tricycle for 100 pesos and had dinner at the resort. The location is quiet which we preferred to the city centre. I would recommend to stay here if you want to be close to town but in peace and quiet. We will definitely choose to stay here again.
