The hotel currently has 28 rooms in use including the new 3 bedroom family suite with 2 bathrooms and a lounge. Another two rooms will be completed mid-July and 6 more rooms will be completed by mid-October. By the end of October, there will be 36 rooms in operation and further upgrading of facilities is planned. All rooms have been upgraded with new air conditioning and new plumbing in the bathrooms. Most rooms have new beds, furniture, linen and towels. All rooms have their own private balconies with direct sea views. All day dining can be enjoyed in the new 50+ seater air conditioned restaurant with large cocktail bar or on the road side patio or in the lovely beach garden which is beautifully lit at night. Many guests prefer to dine in the shaded beach front viewing decks which offer spectacular sunset views between 5:00pm and 6:30pm. The resort’s two deep water wells ensure they never run out of beautiful fresh mountain water 24 hours per day. A high powered efficient generator is a back up for El Nido’s frequent brown-outs. The retail area in the reception offers many hard to obtain but essential items like branded Sun Creams, Aqua Shoes, Quality Snorkeling Equipment, Waterproof Neck Bags, Batteries, Sports Shorts, Sarongs, Chemist Requisites, etc. New garden furniture and sun loungers will be available from June. Most Asian tourists are photo and selfie addicts so the hotel recently commissioned some spectacular hand sculptured statues for guests to pose with including a 2.5metre high Sitting Chef Chimpanzee, a 2.5metre Giant Sitting Ape, a 2.0metre Gorilla Sitting on a Park Bench and a 3.3metre Blue Lady Torso. Really great photo opportunities for guests to mix with their unforgettable and scenic photos of El Nido. The resort has a close association with the El Nido branch of award winning Asian Massage who will administer wonderfully relaxing reasonably priced massages in the comfort of your room by highly trained masseurs. Kayaks and Bodyboards are available to hire by the half day from the hotel. Stunning Resort has two of its own recently overhauled Outrigger Boats for taking guests Island Hopping or to nearby Island Beaches for Wedding Ceremonies. The resort hosts 2-3 weddings per month varying in size from 10-70 guests. The room rates reflect the room size and the position of the room in our beach garden but all rooms have a private balcony, lockable safe, air conditioning, private bathroom with 24hour hot running water. The hotel has free internet. A set Asian or Western Breakfast for two guests is included in the room charge. Additional beds can be arranged.

We stayed here for 5 nights on February. The staff was polite and helpfull but the room was not what you expect when you pay 3900 pesos/night. First of all the shower was broken and it dropped from the wall and cut my hand. Second, we found magots from our bathroom floor and

As others have said, there is no pool at SVs. The beach is very picturesque but the sea is only knee deep for 100s of metres. Most people go to the nearby Los Cabanos beach for their swimming and sunbathing. SVs is a nice place to stay even though there is no pool. Food here was a bit hit and miss when we were there last November. Hope this helps.

Hi Zak! Let me try to give you the best answers to your questions: 1. We have booked via Bookings website. Does the rate include breakfast? It really depends on the kind of booking you made, and with which hotel in El Nido. If you are booked in one of the more luxurious island resorts (i.e. Lagen, Miniloc, etc.), then your booking should include full board and lodging, as this is the normal case. In the more quaint and smaller resorts near and around El Nido Town, it is still dependent on the actual package you availed of. My suggestion is that you check your booking online, and be prepared to spend for breakfast just the same. If you are booked with the Stunning Vistas, breakfast may not be included, but the breakfast meals are very affordable. 2. We are muslim. So of course halal food will be difficult to find. However vegetarian and seafood should do. But could you please find out if there are any restaurants that offer halal food in El-Nido. Again, if you are booked on one of the island resorts, you should contact them to inform them of any dietary requirements and restrictions you have - these island resorts will definitely cater to your needs. In the resorts around town (as well as in the restaurants), there will be an abundance of both vegetarian and seafood dishes for you to choose from, so it should not be a problem. You can even inform the people at your hotel of your preferences for breakfast the next day. With Stunning Vistas, they have a number of seafood meals on their menu. For El Nido Town proper, I suggest you try "Sea Slugs" and "Hilltop" (which offers a dinner buffet with cultural show). 3. We will have time to do two tours in El-Nido. I understand the hotel offers their own tours. What are the two MUST-SEE tours? and prices? The El Nido Local Government has standardized the island tour packages so that the pricing is the same wherever you go on El Nido. You can choose from the following: Tour A (PhP1,200.00 per person) Snorkel tour to two lagoons on Miniloc Island, Simisu Island, and 7 Commando beach. Tour B (PhP1,300.00 per person) Tour to Snake Island, Cudugnon Cave, Lagen Island, Inabuyutan Island, Cathedral Cave. Tour C (PhP1,400.00 per person) Big snorkel tour around Matinloc Island and Tapiutan Island, with a visit to the Secret Beach. You have a big chance to see Turtles. There are other packages, but these are the tours I remember quite well. The price includes use of the boat, guides, life vests and a lunch prepared by the guides themselves. A little reminder: if you are on tour with other guests, there will definitely be meat (pork) dishes served - so best inform the tour coordinators (usually through your hotels) about your dietary restrictions. There is also an additional Php200.00 per person as payment for what is known as the "Eco Tourism Development Fee", but this is good for a ten-day stay anyway. 4. Lastly can you arrange transfers from Puerto Princesa airport to the hotel and then back again to airport? If yes, how much for the two of us? and if not, who can I contact regarding this? average price? Yes, this can be arranged, and is usually done through the hotel you have booked with. I believe the trip (one-way) will cost around PhP1,500.00 to PhP2,000.00 per person (am not so sure though - I may or may not have over-priced this. Please double check). All in, the hotel you booked with - whether it is a local hotel or one of the swankier island resorts owned by the Ayala Group of Companies - should be able to help you with ALL the arrangements you need. At Stunning Vistas, the resort manager is very accommodating, so you should have no problems dealing with her and her staff. As an added information, please note that there are no banks in El Nido, so you will have to have enough Philippine currency with you. And not all hotels take credit cards (actually some 80% to 90% of hotels do not). Try to get some smaller bills as well (20 and 50 denominations) for your everyday spending, and keep the bigger bills (500 and 1000 denominations) for bigger costs (hotels, tours). Lastly: there will be people (locals) who walk the beaches selling pearls - they are always real pearls, but not always the best prices. I suggest that you keep your pearl shopping for your trip back to Puerto Princesa. Your shuttle van driver will know of the place to bring you to once you reach the City again. It is located in a store complex, and the pearls there are more affordable. In fact, at the airport itself, there is a man who sells pearls - and since he collects them and crafts the jewelry himself, it is also far cheaper (but no less authentic). He usually stays in one of the diners located inside the airport compound. I purchased pearl jewelry from him, and was not disappointed at all. I just forgot his name though (sorry). I hope you enjoy your stay in El Nido and in the Philippines as a whole! Cheers!
