Very nice family-run, beachfront Guesthouse, by Gadly and Dennis, with very nice and helpful staff. I had a nice and quiet upper floor beachfront room. Good food, secluded and mostly quiet at the end of a quiet beach, a bit beyond White beach. I can absolutely recommend this for a stay in Puerto Galera Maybe we meet again my dear hosts, until then...a very big Salamat Po! 🤗

Amazing place to visit. If you planning a short or long stay it's a must place to visit. You can truly run away from everyday madness and enjoy the place. Located by the ocean close to three main beach resorts in Puerto Galera. Property is really nice with all the basics you need. Staff very friendly and go out of they way to help. They upgraded our room on arrival to make sure we are comfortable. Can't give this place enough praise. Food is really tasty with good selection, including some traditional phillipino cusine.

Excellent value for Puerto Galera area, clean basic rooms, rates vary during slower and busy times of year. During our 11 day stay during “off season” in November, rooms were mostly full both weekends (Manila weekend trips) and not crowded mid-week ….. just like rest of Puerto Galera. Recommend reservations during weekends and busy season. Very friendly and helpful staff makes you feel at home. Very nice dining area looking out over water, and nice sand courtyard close to water. Basic room with comfortable foam mattress, shelves, cable tv (lots of channels), room service available every other day, large clean bathroom. Our room was available with fan or A/C; we chose fan as weather was moderate. Room rates include free breakfast for two. Restaurant has diverse menu with very good food. There are several other restaurants nearby within a few minutes walk. Good internet in dining area and courtyard, but weak signal in our room. We rented scooter to visit other parts of island; scooter rental was about same price as two tricycle rides to Puerto Galera town, Sabang, etc. Bamboo House is at quiet far western end of Puerto Galera north shore. Popular White Beach is less than hour walk along main road (or quick tricycle ride). Bamboo House is just past end of currently paved road, with last few hundred meters still unfinished dirt road (currently being improved). We recommend staying at Bamboo House for excellent value, super staff, clean basic rooms, very good restaurant, in quiet side of Puerto Galera resort.

Ate here for lunch and the selectuon was minimal for seafood. Youd be better off choosing something at Dmall to eat rather than this place. Wait staff wasnt that impressive and food tasted horrible. After picking our seafood we waited about 5 minutes just to get drinks. When food arrived it was like the wait staff was done doing their job and never came back to end of me after we requested our check. For 2100 php it was definitely not worth it for 4 prawn and 1 fish!!

Bamboo House Beach Lodge & Restaurant offers a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city life. It has a convenient access to a white sand beach with clear blue water, uncrowded beach front, friendly staff, open air and garden, clean and cozy rooms. They also serve delicious food with a fabulous view of the beach.

We did not stay at Bamboo house, but having had a lovely meal we wanted to write a review anyway. Sitting on the restaurant veranda looking out at the spectacular view was a great start, and then came the food... We had a variety of the Filipino dishes and they were all exceptional, especially the bistek. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, and the chef even increased the spice levels for our tastes. Service was attentive even down to asking when we wanted drinks served to ensure that they were still cold. One thing to note is that most vegetable dishes also had pork in, so if you are vegetarian it would be worth specifying upfront. The best meal I have had on my Philippine’s trip.

We are from NY and we love traveling. As soon as we landed from the boat that took us from Batangas Pier, a friendly face greeted us and welcomed us like family, even though we are not related. It took about 20 minutes drive going through zigzag roads. We eventually arrived at the place and when we stepped into the entrance smiling faces not familiar ones greeted us, from small children to adults. It felt like home right away. We were welcomed like relatives from far away. The place was all made of bamboo and nipa leaves, which is very nice built. The food served is mixed of local and international cuisine catering to diverse clientele. Of course we chose local foods as these are made of fresh and home grown ingredients. The place is not crowded not like any other beach resort, it felt like we are the only only ones staying there but when I asked, the host said they were fully booked. After a long flight from NY, it is time to try the comfort of laying down and listening to the waves splashing on the sand. It was very quiet and serene, its like listening to meditation music and really felt relaxed. I love this place and mind you this is the first time I visited Puerto Galera in Palawan and definitely will come back here again in the future. I think we found our home away from home. I highly recommend this place to anyone who will visit Puerto Galera. Very affordable for budgeted traveller and definitely a home away from home! Kudos to the owner of this place, you have made this place a unique and awesome abode for travelers.

fantastic!! staff was very friendly and made you feel almost like family.. any questions we had they would answer. they helped arrange two outings for us which were wonderful. oh and the food...yummy!! we ordered something different every evening...remember that this is cooked to order so it does take time to get your meal but its worth the wait. they have a small little beach area...you can soak up some sun and get your feet wet if you like.

I chose this resort based on its good reviews and indeed it was a good choice. The room was simple, nothing fancy but i loved that our room was facing the sea so we could hear the waves crashing every morning when we wake up and it was like our lullaby at night. Service was very friendly and accomodating. We were supposed to make our ferry arrangements ourselves on the day of our check out but Dennis cant help but do it for us instead! Though the most popular part for tourists is in white beach (most commercialized), if you like walking/trekking, getting there is easy. Or you could rent a motor or just ride a tricycle instead. Accomodation includes breakfast already, wifi is strong in the restaurant area. Shuttle service is included in our ferry arrangement. Drop off/pick up is at Muelle Port, about 10-15mins drive to Bamboo Beach House. Would recommend this place to others who prefer quiet beach area and i'd be willing to stay here again.

Went with my boyfriend (also a long-distance couple btw) to Puerto Galera. We are celebrating our four-year anniversary so it is imperative that our mini-getaway is extra special. It was also our first time to go to Puerto Galera individually so we both have no clue what to expect. We initially booked the hotel for December 31-January 2 but there was a typhoon and we were not able to book any boat going to the island. Called the property and told them our concern, they easily allowed us to re-schedule on the 4th until the 6th. They were generally lenient with schedules, like check in and check out because we came in too early (9AM) and checked out early as well to catch the earliest boat (8AM). They understand people's schedule and its tendency to change from time to time. We went with Minolo Shipping Line, via the fast boat vehicle, that took us from Batangas Port to Puerto Galera in an hour, we even had free shuttle service from the port to our hotel (Php400 one-way ticket with shuttle service/head). Bamboo House is situated almost at the edge of the island so we had to see a lot of other hotel/resorts on our way before we even saw what kind of place Bamboo house is. I was starting to feel worried because the place looked simpler in online photos compared to the other resort we saw which were modern, huge, and within White Beach, but when we arrived, my boyfriend and I just loved the place! A sweet bamboo house indeed! Away from other tourists, noise, and most street vendors. The cool breeze was so relaxing, as well as the blue-green beach waves right in front of the property. We loved chilling by the swing or napping next to the ocean waves. Our room was as charming as the place, very quaint and perfect. I slept wonderfully during my 2 night stay there! The food being served at the restaurant is simple but delicious (Price starts at Php200, no service charge - cash only) The place is currently being managed by a very courteous family. We rented a motorbike (Php 500/day) so we could get a better feel of the island. It was also cheaper than you renting tricycle whenever you wanted to go wherever. We did not try the island hopping, snorkeling and other stuff because we are saving it for next time. What we did try was the short trek going to the Mangyan Village and Talipanan Falls. I even got to buy authentic bamboo/ratan purse from the Mangyans. Our tour guide is Kuya Ronny who also worked at the Bamboo House (Tour to the village and the falls costs Php300) A short walk from Bamboo House is Luca's Pizzeria where we often buy crepes, shakes/coffee, and pizza (Price starts at Php200, no service charge - cash only). On our last night, we had our dinner at White Beach, the more popular beach area in the island. Party life. Food, and people all over the place (multiple restaurant/stores to choose from, price starts at Php200, service charge apply to some - cash only). The Bamboo House remained to be the perfect place for us because it was a nice relief to be in a quiet place after White Beach which was crazy and loud. Will come back definitely!
