Excelent place, highly recommended. Rooms are big and with all the necessary. Wifi enough to send and receive emails and nice boat excursions for snorking or just enjoying a relaxing beach. Also food, mainly Italian, is good
I am a local here at Puerto Galera and I love going here because they always makes us feel welcome even though we are walk-ins. They treated us equally the same as they treat their in-house guests. I’ve always experience kind, courteous, and welcoming interactions with them. Even when I’m only there for lunch, they never fail to provide us with their top notch customer service and makes us feel a part of their family. Everything in their menu tastes delicious because they always use fresh ingredients! I highly recommend them!
I might say Fishermen's Cove is the best of the quality of service in Puerto Galera. the Owner and the staff are very nice and accommodating, they are all very very kind. the food is all very delicious and phenomenal! super love it. the place is very beautiful and i must say that i am in a PARADISE! and i call it Home!
pizza here are delicious. servers are always smilling. the place great. perfect for relaxation and family bonding. It has varried amenities and has its own restaurant and diveshop.. i enjoy everything like diving and snorkling,... love lots,!
Working in an environment where a busy work day happens 5 days in a week, a short breather could truly be a wonderful escape. Whenever I feel like I need a space for my "ME" time, Fishermen's Cove would always come first on my list. Its quiet facade is sooooo soothing to a tired soul, not to mention it's picturesque view of the afternoon sunset that could truly bring so much warmth and calmness. The family and staff that manage the place welcomes everyone with a wide smile and a no-nonsense hospitality. They offer a wide variety of palatable menu and I so love their authentic Italian pizza. My diving experience with them, and with my very own family, was also one of the most memorable experiences I had. Couldn't wait to do that again. I am a local of Puerto Galera, but truly, should one, like me, wishes to escape from the chaos of the everyday living, this place could be one of the best choices.…

To say it is HORRIBLY OFF-PUTTING is an understatement I went to their restaurant for the second time this week on Thursday, 8 October. In the middle of my Zoom meeting which btw was a live broadcast, I was told by staff that they have a policy whereby walk-in guests are PROHIBITED from staying long in the restaurant. I was there from 2pm to around 5pm. Such policy is enforced despite paying for what you order. When I inquired why staying long is not allowed, I was told that checked-in guests (who happen to be foreigners) also use the table I was occupying for Zoom meetings. (And so? Can’t they wait for me to vacate the spot? I am a paying guest too!) The day before, I was also in their restaurant - did my Zoom meeting there, ordered drinks before my meeting, ordered food after my Zoom meeting. I USED MY OWN MOBILE INTERNET half the time I was there on Day 1 because the wi-fi connection became unstable towards late afternoon. I used my own mobile data THE ENTIRE TIME I WAS THERE on Day 2 because they had no wi-fi that day. I have never been so rudely interrupted in the middle of my business only to be essentially told that I should vacate my table because some self-entitled person probably wanted the best table there was. First of all, since when have restaurants imposed a specific time limit as to how long paying guests can stay? I have never experienced this in other hotels, restaurants or cafes here in the Philippines or abroad - NOT EVEN IN THE POSH ONES. That is of course unless another guest has made a prior reservation for the exact same table one is occupying OR it is closing time. In fact, in other restaurants I’ve been to, the staff voluntarily tone down the music upon realizing their guest is in the middle of a call or an online meeting. WHY? Because obviously, management and staff are aware that THAT IS BASIC COURTESY you accord a customer. It is extremely disappointing that it does not seem to be the case in this place. If they truly value customer experience, then CUSTOMER CONVENIENCE AND SATISFACTION SHOULD BE PARAMOUNT. A snobbish, discriminatory policy whereby walk-in guests and checked-in guests are treated differently HAS NO PLACE IN THE SERVICE INDUSTRY. Nevertheless, if only checked in guests are allowed into the restaurant, then WHY IS THERE EVEN A LOG BOOK AT THE ENTRANCE? WHY WAS I TOLD WHEN I WAS DROPPED OFF THAT WE CAN PARK THE CAR INSIDE THEIR PREMISES? WHY WAS I ALSO TOLD THAT THEIR RESTAURANT IS OPEN DAILY IF ONLY CHECKED-IN CUSTOMERS CAN FREELY STAY? WHY WAS I EVEN ALLOWED TO GET IN IN THE FIRST PLACE AND GIVEN A MENU ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT ONLY CHECKED-IN GUESTS CAN STAY? I FIND THAT TO A FLIMSY, STUPID EXCUSE TO KICK A GUEST OUT OF THE BEST TABLE ALL BECAUSE THEY WISH TO GIVE PREFENTIAL TREATMENT TO CHECKED-IN GUESTS WHO ARE FOREIGNERS. IF SUCH POLICY IS NOT ABHORRENTLY DISCRIMINATORY, I DON’T KNOW WHAT IS. If you want genuine hospitality, customer respect and fair and equal treatment towards PAYING CUSTOMERS regardless of what your personal business is for camping out in a restaurant, THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT THE PLACE TO GO TO. DO NOT EVEN BOTHER TO VISIT. YOU’RE BETTER OFF DINING AND WORKING AT THE SAME TIME ELSEWHERE. THE KIND OF TREATMENT TOWARDS WALK-IN GUESTS IS EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL. THIS PLACE IS SO NOT WORTH ANYONE’S MONEY…
Thank you Giuseppe, Tiff, Paolo, Ariel, Joseph, the girls in the bar and all the staff behind the scenes and who’s named we didn’t learn. A beautiful experience made even better by the incredible staff, kindness and hospitality make Fishermen’s Cove an absolutely wonderful experience. The dive centre is excellent, diving was amazing, rooms very modern and clean but the food! The food was amazing, we are vegetarian and as soon as we pointed this out a plethora of new dishes were served just for us, no cutting corners or just removing meat from an existing dish, we were so well looked after I’ve got a little tear in my eye as I wrote this and reflect on our stay Thank you all x
Great place to stay with family and friends. The owner " Josepe " is a great guy and his attention over everything makes your stay more joyful. You served with perfectly cooked Italian food that makes an advantage for anybody to enjoy the food without being worried about the taste or the content of the local food. Great facility for scuba diving and snorkeling.
This a small dive resort owned and managed very capably by Guiseppe. A private taxi transferred the group of six of us from Manila airport to Batangas where a boat was waiting for us. It was exciting balancing along a wobbly gangplank to board one boat, then another precarious gangplank to transfer to our boat. Some boat transfers are arranged for the public ferries and soon the resort will have it's own boat for speedy transfers from Batangas. Giuseppe was there when we arrived at the resort. We had been travelling for 8 hours non stop and a Welcome drink and more enthusiastic greeting would have been greatly appreciated at that point. Anyway, we were quickly shown to our room. Guiseppe came to check that the room was OK and when I mentioned how thirsty we were he immediately arranged for a couple of drinks to be sent up to us and we were very grateful for that. Our room was on the top floor (4th floor) of the newer building and there were quite a few steps to climb up but the room was very spacious and it had a huge balcony with a wonderful view of the sea. As you lie in bed. (a very firm bed!) you can see the ocean which is a pleasant view, but as there are no curtains or blinds at one window and light curtains on the other big window, the light woke me up just after 5 a.m. each morning. The room could sleep four people so we had plenty of space for just the two of us. We used the spare bed for storing clothes on. There is one drawer, plenty of shelving and a couple of rails for hanging clothes from. The room was cleaned to an excellent standard. Bars of soap are provided so bring your all own other toiletries. Two 500ml bottles of water are provided daily. It would be nice to have water dispensers and refillable containers instead of plastic bottles. Halfway through our stay he arranged for a kettle and tea/coffee making in our room. That was much appreciated. The restaurant is situated overlooking the sea which is very pleasant. Apart from breakfast, the lunches and dinners are Italian. The meal portions are huge and I would have preferred smaller portions but have water / fruit juices included in the price, not as an additional cost. Instant coffee is included, but other coffee is charged for. The food is great if you enjoy eating a lot of pasta and bread, but not so good if you are gluten intolerant or would prefer a bit more variety. Four of our group didn’t eat fish, so we were given chicken or pork or sausage instead. For most meals we didn’t know what was going to be served until it arrived in front of us. I would have preferred to have seen the menu on a blackboard and be able to make some more choices. I will stress that lovers of home made bread, pasta, fish and salad will be really happy with the food. The diving was well organised and our guide was very knowledgeable. We only managed two days instead of five due to an ear infection but we saw an incredible amount of marine life in just six dives. If you'd like to check out the diving , then take a look at my YouTube channel 'Gerry Green Diving - Beautiful Scuba Diving from puerto Galera May 2019' Giuseppe definitely goes the extra mile to help his guests. He lent me his laptop for one evening and took me to see a doctor when I had an ear infection. Both of which were greatly appreciated.…
