We didn't stay in this hotel so please ignore our hotel rating, this is only for the restaurant. We found it's pretty outdoor restaurant purely by chance. Centrally located off a side street in Maliboro. Very friendly staff and excellent food. Try the NASI GORENG, this comes wrapped in an omelete, superb! Great value and would also recommend for a...

The guesthouse is cool, but a lot of people got off the plane and didn't understand how to handle the transport services. Grab your luggage and follow the crowd outside. As you exit the building head to the right and hand over your hotel address to the taxi stand people. They'll write it out for you in Indonesian, you pay...

Stayed here one night as I was passing through Yogya. By the way 3 nights in this city woul be good, but I had seen the sights before. It is close to the train station....10 minute walk. Also walkable (or cheap via becak...bicycle rickshaw) to the main city attractions. The rooms are small, but clean and there is a pool...

The room and bathroom smells a little stuffy. I guess its because its an old hotel. But if you consider the price, amenities and food its OK.

This Losmen is the one I will recommend to everybody. Why? It's clean, they have very good matrasses, a big range of different rooms, are located in the middle of the backpack area and very affordable, especially in low season (high season prices only in July and August). I stayed in the most basic room, but didn't need anything else...

We had read about this place before we arrived and after looking at a few in the same area we decided to take a room. We stayed in a basic room with attached non western bathroom. The room was a little small and the bathroom was poky but very clean. The price was a bargain and did wonders for the...

I never stayed at this hotel but tried their restaurant a few times - it's absolutely awesome. Affordable prices and excellent, effective service. A cozy place to have a late night dinner, enjoy local delicacies and sip Bintang beer. I recommend trying their Tong Seng (some beef tenderloin with garlic sauce ++ ) as well as Rendang dish (spicy mouth-watering...

Bladok really is a charmer. It is very pretty to look at, the staff is really friendly, helpful, and fair; and it is very clean. It is also unusual in that it offers several levels of service-- for instance, the rooms with the highest rate come with air conditioning, a private balcony, and a Western style bathroom with a hot...

I stayed in Bladok for 6 nights when I travelled in Jogyakarta in September 2008. I booked it just by walking around and checking out the different losmens in the area. Although, its a little pricier than the other losmen, I stayed at Bladok because of its reputation and the rooms are great. Bladok is central to everything but quiet...

The Bladok Losmen is located in the Sosrowijayan area of Yogyakarta. This area used to be the biggest backpacker centre on Java but is now a shadow of its former self. It remains, however, a convenient location, right in the centre of Jogya. The Bladok Losmen offers a range of rooms from spartan non-aircon rooms, up to budget-hotel-quality deluxe rooms....
