From the street you cannot tell there is a beautiful garden behind the walls of this small hotel. We had a standard room which was very spacious and prettily decorated. Everything was clean and tidy. (No ants visible on our trip.) The staff were very helpful and friendly. We arrived at 9am far too early to check in and the staff coped with this. They kept our bags and arranged a car for us to go sightsee during the day. On our return we had a very pleasant meal in the restaurant. The menu is not huge but it caters to all tastes. The call to prayers at 4am was short and much less intrusive than in other places. We would definitely use this hotel again because of its ambience and the lovely staff.
I chose this place because of the atmosphere and setting. The staff were very friendly, and I liked the room and the pool, restaurant, and surroundings. It's nice to be in a place like this right in the middle of the city. If you are like me, you will like their love for nature. However, I felt that the presence of so many crawling ants all over the hotel, including the reception, restaurant and the room as well as the open air bathroom. I felt that that was annoying and if anything would stop me staying there again it would be those pesky ants.
The hotel is perfect to chill and rest a long day of visits. The bed is comfortable, the hotel is quiet. The pool is big and clean, perfect to relax after waking up very early to visit Borobudur. The restaurant provides traditional food at a reasonnable price. Breakfast was good and the breakfast box for early check outs is great. The whole team was also very helpful to organise our trip.
Everything at Jogja Village Inn works well. The upstairs Deluxe rooms are nicely set up with small signs informing you of everything you may need to know about the room's facilities. The balcony with bench seat is a nice place to relax if it's too hot to chill by the well-sized pool (including kids section). Whilst a good distance from the main tourist attractions - too far to comfortably walk during the heat of the day - it is close to a supermarket and near some of the tourist strips, plus a Grabcar to most places was easy and cheap (between 13-33K rupiah). It was nice to retreat from the traffic to the well-maintained garden area during the day. The cacophony of prayers from neighbouring mosques start around 4am and sound like a loud party in the room next door, but that's part of the experience. Efficient housekeepers. Front desk service was good, from organising airport transfers, helping recover luggage lost by the airline, to repairing a broken airconditioner. All of the staff were friendly, with a smile and "good morning". Recommended if staying near Malioboro does not appeal. …
The hotel is located in a very nice part of the city, with many good restaurants nearby. The pool is very nice, rooms are spacious and clean and the staff is very friendly. Perfect place to relax after discovering the city.
