Perfect place travelers who want to feel Jogja home and those who want to visit Kraton and gudeg street frequently. I stayed at a room called Tata. Charming old room, but facilities are getting old. Bedside lamps didn't turn on; washbasin faucet trickled. Shower pressure was low, and hot water only lasted for three-four minutes. When it rained, smelly muddy... More

A great home stay with Java Culture Concept, great hospitality, very comfort. But a little bit having a trouble with mosquitos, I was bitten a lot but it's fine. Beside that, everything was great. I would like to go back here again with my family.

We stayed for just one night on a lightening tour of Borobudor and Prambanan. nDalem Gamelan is near the Kraton on a moderately busy street (all streets are busy in Yogyakarta) behind high walls. There is some traffic noise therefore. Before we arrived we asked Maria to arrange a pick up from the airport and a car for the next... More

This little hotel close to the Kraton deserves its high reviews. It is comfortable, like a home away from home. The renovated Javanese pendopo is very compelling, allowing one to step into tempo dulu. It is a simple place with all amenities though no real luxuries. It has what counts: it is clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly and... More

My first trip to Java and I was made to feel so at home at nDalem Gamelan! All of the people who work here were so helpful and friendly - I really did not want to leave. Yogjakarta can be pretty traffic clogged but this location is in a relatively tranquil part of the town and delightfully close to the... More

The location is perfect, in the Kraton, at a walking distance from the main things to do in Yogya. The house is very nice, really feel like home, old traditional style. The staff is also extremely kind, helping in everything and being very flexible. The only negative point is the noise; it is extremely noisy because of the street where... More

It is the first time that I leave an hotel with the feeling of leaving friends... We stayed 6 nights at the nDalem Gamelan Hotel and it was one of the highlight of our Indonesian trip. The structure is really old and beautiful and stragically located in the Kraton, far from the chaos of Maliorobo street. The staff is very,... More

This hotel is in an interesting and relaxing location close to the Kraton. It is quirky and individual, the service is excellent and the breakfast was fantastic. You can walk to the main areas of interesting or take a motorbike taxi.

I love coming back to Yogya and call home to this beautiful house in the Kraton Palace area. Pak and Ibu again were so nice and it was a pleasant stay. Thank you so much. It is close to my favourite shop Tjokrosuharto which I bought a silver jewellery case with traditional Javanese motifs hard to find nowadays. I have... More

A wonderful old Javanese house inside the Kraton walls. The staff were welcoming and friendly. So glad I chose to stay there instead of a big hotel. Lovely antique furniture and beautiful colour scheme in the decoration. Stayed only two nights. Hope to stay longer one day. Chosen because of the name and the photos because of an interest in...
