Dear Ritz Carlton Kuningan - Jakarta, My family and I had the misfortune of staying at your hotel. During our stay, we encountered a number of unsatisfactory service levels that I think you should know of and hopefully do something about. First, while I understand this is a very tough time for the hospitality industry, you should never ever lie to the guest. I often called the reservation line to ask whether you take guests in full capacity or not, they ALWAYS answer the maximum cap you handled will be 50% of the occupancy rate. Which I assume it's much "safer" than staying in a hotel with full capacity. BUT, when we got there, there were long queues for check in, no social distancing, AND MOST AND FOREMOST, the front office said they didn't restrict the guests on weekends, which is not tally when I confirmed more than 3 times on the phone beforehand. Second, after we entered the room, the bed was very stiff and hard, in which I can assure you my bed in my own home was much comfier and LESS SQUEAKY than your bed, It's not the 5 stars hotel standards. Every move I made on the bed woke my baby up because of how it creaked here and there. In the mini bar, there was no tea and I had to ask for room service. The leaking shower head and I found strands of hair on the sinks. I wonder what do the housecleaning people at your hotel do exactly to prepare the room for the next guest? Do they have a checklist or do they just randomly go through stuff? Third, The breakfast time was limited to 45 minutes. Do you ever understand that toddlers take more time to eat than the adults? At 7.45 sharp the table should be clean, and I cannot take any food with me for the kid while he's still not finished with his breakfast. Also I would like to tell you a particular staff that is stationed in bread and pancakes on 15th November. I remember clearly that she was reluctant when I asked for extra pancakes and extra butter that she TOSSED the butter into the drizzle of my maple syrup which makes it sticky and inedible at the same time. Not even a single sorry until I called her out. Is this the standard of your staff? Or are you understaffed that you hire an outsource service? Fourth, Your hotel practices no social distancing. There was no security, no staff, no doorman stationed on the elevator. Everyone was cramped into one lift without limitation, I have to remind everyone that the elevator only accommodates 4 people or 1 family at a time. And I saw the letter your Operation manager signed that you will obey the safety regulation by the government in prevention of the spread out COVID-19 virus. Which certainly you did not. I hope you agree with me that this type of service is completely unacceptable at so many levels. It is not the kind of treatment I would have expected from a five star hotel of your state and caliber. I am very disappointed from this bitter experience. I would like to hear your thoughts about my complaint and the steps that you are willing to take to prevent such incidents in the future.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is planning to visit Jakarta since it’s located in a great location. I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on October 1-4, 2020 after my tiring flight all the way from USA. Once I arrived at the hotel, the staffs were very helpful with my luggages. Since it’s Covid pandemic, they were more concerned about the security and health protocols. So, I only took away the breakfast and the gym and pool were closed. However, I was still able to enjoy the room and the rest of the service. I left some of my clothes accidentally in the room when I checkout but luckily the housekeeping still kept them for me. Thank you very much for the help and hospitality from all the staffs.

Im staying at Ritz Carlton Kuningan on 31 Oct - 1 nov for special occasion for my bestfriend. Overall the service front office & belldesk staff are excellent. The room is OK & GRO team help me to make a bit decoration on the mirror grafitti, i really appreciate it. But service at FB outlets (We had dinner at Lobo Restaurant) on the 31st, We asked about credit card promotion HSBC which stated in the e-newsletter hsbc itself that mentioned got 25% discount dine in at Lobo, but the staff still insist that there is no discount at all eventough i show him on my phone there is stated discount but this guy insist NO, but well I still pay. Doesnt matter. The next day, I went to the Gym and before enter the gym the spa staff do their protocol checking body temperature & registration card, i ask her help to call Asia restaurant and how much the price for additional breakfast, the staff told me IDR 242,000 net, i ask until 2x and she mentioned remain the same. When i came to the Asia restaurant (they direct me to have breakfast downstair coz the restaurant itself already full, the staff (the lady) told me the price is IDR 300,000 net. Looks like the communication your F&B team outles is messed up. But again, i still pay doesnt matter. And on the 1st (my check out date), i call to call centre and need help to late check out at 1 pm, he said unable coz there is next guest after my stay. Its really pissed me off Well, I already quite flexible about their lack communication between their team with all the wrong information about the pricing fb , but the flexibility especially late check out until 1 pm is unable provided is really unbelieveable. Well, i will re-think again to stay at this hotel. Thanks!
