Kemang one of my favorite destination especially in south Jakarta City. Staying at grandkemang was very easy to go interesting place such as Lippo Kemang within just 1 km, Cafe and Bar. Thats becase of the location in the middle of kemang.
We booked a "Grande Chambre Deluxe" for 1 night.. and I am glad it was not for a longer stay. This hotel is in a dire need of its first maintenance for, probably, the last decade. And everything is to the same standard, front office, food & beverage, room upkeep. The bathroom has not been maintained since this wing of the hotel was built. A VERY LOUD noise comes from piping when one tries to take a shower, shampoo and soap bottles a re left on the floor... It took us a few hours and quite a few calls to get some small towels, a let room service tray (not from us) stayed - also for a few hours - in front of our door. But the worst came at breakfast. Honey, for the cereals, is "out of stock", my scrambled eggs were so dry they were inedible. Service is awol, 3 or 4 staff stay behind their stalls and try their best not to have to attend to customers. It is obvious, this hotel has no management whatsoever and the owners seem happy to mil it until falls apart.…
After many years of considering grandkamang as my second home. Decided to relocate elsewhere. Rooms, bed linnen , interior are really aging and need to be maintained. laundry service, minibar have disappeared from their service portfolio. breakfast and dinner are still good. but the place needs to be refurbished !
Plus side: In the lobby, they have artistic art gallery. Then I know that they will hold art exhibition. If this situation happened in early pandemic, I trully understand. But these situation happened after ppkm loosened up, means occupation rate also rised up. When I checked in... There was two ministry held the event there. I asked the occupancy with one situation, they said full booked for that day and tomorrow. So forgive me that I can't tolerate these things: -When I checked in, the key machine was broke. So the concierge assist me to open the door manually. The machine finally can be operated view hours later. -The tv wasn't working. Needed to call engineering first. Then the exhaust in front of the door was loud. Already fix but still loud. The engineering said when the temperature gows slow it became like this. -They only provide 1 mineral bottle at first. Need to ask for abother one. -Water keetle was leak. The water I poured soak into the tray. -They only provide one towel. I found the hotel provided 1 toothbrush set, but not towel. And the towel...wow...is it 4 stars hotel? When I ask another towel, they gave me the proper kne. Ah.. They also didn't provide toilet mat. I had to request it and it also didn't come. -Their idea to put shampoo and soap in the vanities completely blow my mind. So when we shower, we need to go out to pump the shampoo and soap? What are you trying to do? Dear Grandkemang, Imho, I think there won't be a problem if you focus on the goverment who will spend their annual budget, moreover on their year end budget. Their need to spend it, so maybe they won't complain like me for the service and situation. But for people like me... Apologies for being hars, but this situation make me never want to stay in here again... Except the goverment pay me for that.…
A spacious hotel located in Kemang South Jakarta. Near to business district and culinary center. The foods and beverages are very delicious with perfect combination of Western and Asian Cuisine. I love the Resident 3 bedroom.
First of all they receptionist and staff very kind and polite , they welcome us with free cake and smile and i am impressed. Unlucky in midnight my room ac stopped working and suffered with sweating. Property is quite old there were some rat in my room which was really disgusting. I had buffet breakfast which was fantastic. I will strongly advise to Management to renovate it as they have prime location in heart of Kemang.

The Grand Kemang hotel is where i stay when I visit Jakarta. The staff are helpful and, in particular, I look forward to seeing Pak Suyatno and Pak Yuhda when I get out of the taxi.on arrival. They can practise their English and I can practise my Indonesian. The hotel is close to good restaurants and to interesting places along Jalan Kemang Raya. I always enjoy having breakfast in that hotel: such an interesting variety of good food. I left a hand written note of commendation with Bapak Haris who is the dining room manager. For me and my wife the hotel is good value. I am sorry to see Tripadvisor's name and logo on this page: I don't believe that Tripadvisor is an honest organisation: it has been caught fiddling statistics and erasing unfavorable reviews. I shall be interested to see if this paragraph of my review is published. …
