First time staying at this hotel, for a hotel that has been around for quite a long time, I think it is quite well maintained. The room size is also quite spacious, in my opinion the food menu for a 4 star hotel is very minimal. The price is relatively cheap for a 4 star hotel in the Kuningan area. Haven't tried the other facilities yet.

The property is appealing due to its structure and must have been grand in its, day but is past it's prime, the staff is friendly ( if the guest interacts) but at the same time not interested in taking any steps to be helpful on their own. Near midnight the staff roam outside the guest rooms with their voices at full volume and their walkie Talkies blarring out in full volume.

The F&B staff stops replenishing the chaffing dishes at breakfast and dinner 30 minutes before the ending time, in sharp contrast to other hotels in Jakarta where they go out of their way to make your stay memorable.

Royal K needs to be deeply fumigated as their were flies even on the top floors where there are no open windows or doors.

The best thing is the view from the rooms at night, wow awesome👍

In the end of December 2019, I and my best friend spent night in this hotel. We chose deluxe room and for us quite ok but i thought we got a little broken wardrobe but no worries. And our view from the room were very good! We had no issued with the room too much but when breakfast we were a bit disappointed, because maybe the hotel not ready enough to service all the guests at that time. We only got a slices of bread and milk because some of meals were empty. Not only us but some of other guests also felt the same. I think the hotel should be ready and have a plan B for any big day such as a new year evening. So, hopefully can be better next time.

We stayed for a night and booked the Deluxe room. Our personal requests were fulfilled, which was great. The room was rather spacious and looked cozy in warm tones. The furniture items were kind of dated but we weren't bothered by it. In fact, we believe that properties like Royal Kuningan have their own "charm". The bed was pretty big and comfortable. The sofa next to the window made a nice spot to relax and enjoy a nice view outside.

The bathroom was also spacious. Unfortunately, there wasn't a bathtub and when using the hand shower, the water coming out smelled foul at first so I had to wait until the water ran clear and didn't smell. Inside the closet, there was a small door connecting the room to the bathroom, which made a fun twist to our stay.

The breakfast was just okay. There wasn't anything really special but the menu was decent. We enjoyed our breakfast. However, our most favorite part of the visit was the swimming pool. The pool area was amazing with a nice view. There was a sauna in the changing room. I think it would be nicer if the hotel had a whirlpool.

Looking at the façade, the hotel might look old. However, as I stepped into the lobby, I was amazed by its interior. The lobby was luxuriously designed, without looking gaudy or "trying too hard". The grand staircase was my favorite spot to take photos, especially with a big Christmas tree on the landing.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We would love to come back again.

Last week i went to Jakarta with my family to attend Jakarta Fair 2022, and we decided to stay at Royal Kuningan Hotel, because we wanted to stay at a hotel with a city view. We were so happy to stay at Royal Kuningan Hotel because the room was very comfortable, and also we could see very interesting view from the window outside. The breakfast menu also delicious with a lot of choices of food and drink.

At the end, if we plan to take a trip to Jakarta again soon, Royal Kuningan Hotel will be our priority to be chosen.

BAD MANAGEMENT!!! beware for company guest or group stay!!!
This is a very new hotel located strategically in Kuningan Jakarta. I reserved for my company's guest staying for 7 nights. Took a long time to get the reservations, about 18 - 20 calls. They also didnt respond to any email. After making the reservations by phone, they told me that its ok if i pay the down payment for only 3 nights first, and they ensure me the reservations has succeedd for 7 nights.
Guess what? in day 4, when i go there to pay full my reservations, they just reject it! even worst : they told me, that my guest must have to check out soon because other group has already came in and will be placed in my guest room!
They just keep apologize and do nothing for our win win solution.

BAD EXPERIENCE for my guest, treated like a ping pong's ball

New hotel. and this was my second stay over last 6 month and its deteriorating.
The ONLY PLUS is its price. But to my experience this time, you get that with RISK to your HEALTH, LIFE and TIME.
Got a small, sharp and whirled piece of metal (seems to be from a tin Can) in my rice over dinner. None of the ingredients in that meal should be using any canned food as it was just rice and grilled duck with fresh salad. I was lucky to avoid swallowing it as I was using my hands instead of spoon for eating in smaller bites. Else that sharp metal piece would have damaged me from inside. Did a written complaint to their General Manager along with photographs I took of the metal piece.
Next morning, during break fast, found three plates one over another, with black spots easily wipe-able with hands… no one was able to answer in the staff about that. So I decided NOT to have any MEAL in that hotel after having horrible experience continuously.
Same morning, the coffee cups were dirty and I called them to replace… 30 minutes… reminded… “on the way sir”…. Almost 3 more hours…. Reminded again… “on the way sir”… then again in the evening… also escalated to the duty manager… but still didn’t get till my checkout next morning.
It’s a POORLY MANAGED hotel, with staff having NO BASIC HYGIENE knowledge I guess.
So if you decide to stay there for affordability as a reason., then don’t eat there and DO NOT expect services.
