We only stayed in this hotel for one night on transit before taking the train to Yogyakarta. The location is just perfect in central Jakarta on the quite street but all in walking distance and near from Sarinah Thamrin and Plaza Indonesia Bundaran HI and few minutes with taxi to the Gambir Station. This hotel has its own charm with typical Betawi old Jakarta decoration and color that I find it very interesting. We got the room at the 7th floor and is very spacious room, very clean and the bathroom has a bathtub. It has all amenities that the guest needs. Beautiful view through the Jakarta city from their rooftop bar that we could enjoy free tea and coffee and snack in the afternoon till 18.30 in the evening before they open the bar. The breakfast is delicious with a lot of choice and the staff are nice and friendly. The check in and check out was quick and effective with a lot of friendliness.

For the second leg of our Sumatra/Java/Bali trip, we stayed in Jakarta at the Jambuluwuk Thamrin hotel. I booked the room online via Agoda and based my choice on the pictures and information they provided there. On the room I chose it said that it has a city view, and the picture showed a room with a window (even a balcony). But when I checked in and went to the room, the was no window or view at all. I felt claustrophobic so I asked for a room upgrade with extra fee. The fee was by negotiation with the front desk, not adjusting to the price stated online, so that was a bit confusing as well. I ended up spending more money than I should if I got all the information correct about the room and book that room instead on the first place.

Strategic hotel in downtown. We stayed here on New Year's Eve 2024 with our family. Have a fun New Year's Eve with the family can stay in this nice hotel. Interested to book here because their rooms and hotel design looks very interesting, maybe because it's an advertising so everything look very nice. Overall, the hotel location is good and quite so good for us to rest. The interior in the lobby and restaurant area are very nice, good spot to take pictures. However, the room are very old and moldy, the wall really need a touch up soon. My room layout was not good, AC located directly to our head when we sleep, so my husband had to covered it with towel and plastic to minimize the wind, since it's impossible to sleep without AC there. We cancelled to extend our stay there due to this matter and decided to move to another hotel. I'm not sure if the other rooms have the same layout or not.

I have to tell you, it might not look like a hotel if you see it from the street. It's kinda look much more like cafe.
The receptionist / lobby is small, placed in the same floor with cafe and restaurant.
Nearby there is an elevator to guest room.
The room itself kinda remind me of my Grandmother house, with lots of wooden interior, and ow it's very spacious. I choose one large bed, but seems I got 2 single bed that being put together and wrapped up with King-size sheet, you can still feel the gap .. gosh.
The bathroom kinda small for me (if you compare it to the size of the room), and I don't know why but you can't set the water temperature if you're using the shower ... what makes it so funny is if you choose to run the water from the tap, you can set the temperature, but when you change it to the shower *poof* your effort to set the temperature will be useless .. and I found the water temperature that coming from the shower was too hot for me ... so I had to use the tap to take a shower ..

I visited this hotel for a staycation with friends, and was amazed by the hotel that looks tiny but inside have a quite big room. Receptionist friendly and helpful, and pretty good breakfast. Coincidentally when I stayed the hotel was not crowded, so we could enjoy all the facilities. But there is input for the future, please ask all guests who come, to give their car number to make it easier if the parking lot is full and a car cannot get out, because it happened to me, so we waited long enough to find out the car owner who blocking my car.
