The location is good. It is in between Wanchai and Causeway Bay. But the hotel is poor maintained. The carpet is dirty, the wall is stained. Luckily, the bed and bathroom are still ok. The front desk staff are too green.

I arrived in Hong Kong after a 12 hour flight to find that my connecting flight was cancelled because of a typhoon. It was about 6:30 pm and I just wanted to find a place quick. I went onto a booking site and Walden came up as one of the better deals available. Having been to Hong Kong before, I... More

The room condition is good. There are restaurants and bus stops nearby (esp the bus from/to airport). The courtesy of the receptionists can be better. I lived on 17th floor and it is very quiet to let us have a rest.

This is an excellent location with restaurants, groceries, subway & bus access, and a reasonable price. Rooms are bigger than many other hotels but not as modern but that's whyt the price is reasoable. But it was clean, A/C worked well (!), and staff were helpful. Wi-fi was sporadic at times; outlets are not numerous, but again, this is typical.... More

A lot of reviews have been heavily negative about this place. It's actually not that bad. The interior of the rooms is outdated and could do with refurbishment and a little TLC but aside from that is great. Everything is clean and restocked while you are out, the staff are helpful and friendly, quiet and great access to the city.... More

Great location right between Causeway Bay and Wan Chai station. Rooms were outdated however and we had to kill a bug in our bathroom on our last night there. A/C and wifi was good. Not a bad stay overall but wasn't too memorable either. Good price for a location that is walkable to causeway bay for shopping, also some good... More

I stayed 2 nights during NYE at this hotel. Price is equal to budget hostel but room is just bigger. Room and toilet was clean. Nice quiet room. The location is ideal, Hotel is in between Causeway Bay MTR station and Wanchai MTR station. (walk a bit further for Wanchai) and closed to Airport Bus stop. Easy walk down to... More

Me and my brother and mum stayed there at the Walden hotel and it was horrendous. There was some kind of wet spot as you enter the room and that was a water leak and the whole floor was wet .There was certainly not what the pictures looked like and we only stayed for 2 days because it was a stopover... I found this hotel Indian travel portal and trust me as per the price hotel is too good. MTR Causway Bay is just 10mints walk, tram, bus and taxi is just outside the hotel. Good WIFI, almost all needed room amenities in the room. Room size is also very good. Must recommended if you are traveling with friends, solo or... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centers of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
