The Bathroom has a novel design, the faucet is automatic sensor, and there is a temperature and humidity indicator, and the water temperature can also be adjusted manually! The bathroom has a bathtub, a shower, and a shower head, all in their proper places. There are so many weird designs that I have never seen before! It’s just that like most hotels (no matter how many stars they are!), they all have “dark toilets”! In every other aspect, it looks like a traditional hotel except that there is no phone! So there is no need nowadays, almost most citizens have smartphones! In terms of access control, the building door is not guarded! There is no need to take a room card with Lift! Single women like you may need to pay more attention to whether there is any problem with your guest room door? ! … … … … … … … … … MuseX used to have themed rooms! ! ! …… …… …… …… …… ……

Hotels is Hong Kong are too expensive. Walden hotel is a budget hotel in central place i.e. wan chai. Very near to HKCEC . Well connected. E11 and A11 buses from airport to reach henessey road. KFC, McDonald nearby. shopping good. 7-11 good experience. eatries nearby. no restaurant in the hotel. rooms are very small. very few english channels in tv. overall good budget hotel for single stay but not good for family.

Tips
- Ask for a low floor. The elevators are not that quick, and the views are not great anyway

Be sure to hit "this was helpful"!

Pro / con for Walden hotel

Pro
- Excellent central location; short three block walk to metro
- Buses and trams immediately in front of building
- Affordable
- Great, helpful staff
- Close to food and shopping
- Very clean
- Fast wireless internet in lobby; wired in rooms
- Great price

Con
- Old paint and worn door in my rooms
- VERY firm mattress. I like firm mattresses, but if you don’t, it could be a problem
- If you are tall, the desk isn’t too comfortable for sitting for long periods
- Air conditioning controls hard to figure out at first.
- Rooms are small

I stayed here for a week with a friend before hitting Oz. This hotel was fab. Staff were so friendly. The room was a standard hotel room but bigger than most other hotel rooms in HK. The two lifts in the hotel were fast so there was never a delay in getting up to our room. Hotel was very clean and I had no faults with the hotel at all. We paid around 400GBP between us both, which is extremley cheap for HK. The hotel is in the middle of Wanchai strip & Times Square, it is also close to all the public transport. Defo take a ride on the tram...Its defo a good experience.
My sister is going to Hong Kong later this year and she is going to book into The Walden hotel with my advise.

Usually stay for 2- 3 days on business trip. With the rate they offer, the room as just as expected in a money center city like Hongkong. Cramped but clean with free internet connection. The major plus point is its location. Only a short walk to my office at Lockhart Road, and only 15 minutes walk to Times Square and some prominent department store such as Sogo.
Plenty of nice food stall along the way to Times Square as well. Just few block near Bowrington Road Market, there's a nice and cheap sushi stall. You can hardly miss this spot since there's long queue in front of the store almost every day.

The minus point unfortunately, many taxi cab doesn't familiar with this hotel. I simply call the hotel and let them speak to the driver.

I stayed at this hotel because of its location on Hong Kong Island. It is a close walk to Wan Chai nightlife, Causeway Bay, Star ferry, and the subway. The walk to the peak tram is about 25 minutes. My room was clean and comfortable. The room had free wired internet. Overall, this is a decent basic hotel.

We went to a dozen hotels in Hong Kong - This was one of the worst.

GOOD
The wifi worked
Near Wan Chai if you like this area

BAD
Very old and dirty hotel
You share the elevator with people that are not staying in this hotel => There is a massage place on lower floors for "single Chinese men"
The room is super small
The shower is an old bath tube (not a real shower). The curtain of the shower is old. Nasty stuff really.
The staff is super rude.
There is a deposit of 500 HKD.
The decoration of the room is from the 70s. Everything is so old and cheap.

We will not go back.

Rooms are a bit tired and shabby, but if you can cope with that you won't get anything better for the price. Currently going for 200 HKD, and it's very handy for the bright lights of Wanchai.

Best for people who intend to stay out a lot. If you just want somewhere to crash at night, it's fine.

Nice staff. I left some things in my room, and forgot about them. 3 months later I checked in and the staff presented them to me unprompted.
